And just to be perfectly clear, that’s something I enjoy a lot in Voyager: taking this particular bit of weak lore and making it more real.

Q is fucking around with the ship, chucks a barrel at Riker but another Q flings it away last second. Same thing with Worf but his life was valued less

For a ship that shakes like a magnitude 8 earthquake whenever the shields are struck, they sure don’t like strapping down their storage containers.
It seems like Starfleet regulations do not take into account events that overload the interia dampeners. Star Trek-OSHA would be furious.
