Walking down Sydney Road Brunnie, Franco Cozzo is being relaunched. Is there a market for that stuff?
We’re having espresso martinis for tea.
Made it to the data centre protest almost 2 and a half hours after it started but we got there. We arrived just as people were getting back. People finally got to meet the kids and see why I can’t make it to most things
Low by Flo Rida AND T-PAIN* will never not slap

I wonder how many hot flushes I’m gonna receive this weekend 🤔
That would depend on whether you are playing cards. Oops, sorry that’s royal flushes.
Hahaha. I did actually play last night and I lost big time.
Dolphins!! Off Williamstown!! Day made
The sun is shining, flowers are coming and I’ve just had a very productive conversation with my folks about the house hunt, their expectations, my expectations and so on.
The hunt is back on. We can coexist. There’s some context I didn’t have before which I now do, and things make a lot more sense.

So glad you can all move forwards!
That is so good to hear.
I’m so glad
eee
The beagle 2 doors down has stopped barking at me when I ride past.
Gave it a pat and now we have an agreement ETCHED IN STONE.
Problem is the doggo next door to that one still barks but it’s a floor mop bichon frise thing not going near that.
Those floor mop dogs weird me out. Pretty sure they shouldn’t even count as dogs.
A lot of the small fluffy breeds were originally bred as personal guard dogs - and they’re still pretty good at it. Size notwithstanding. I think the real problem is the owners - people should be shot for purchasing a fluffy dog and not teaching it civilized manners. ‘But its cuuuute’ they say, not understanding that badly educated dogs are never cute no matter how fluffy they are.
I have very strong opinions about a colleague’s Frenchy. (That I don’t out loud in the office) Multiple surgeries super young. Don’t buy known problem breeds!
Yeah, it doesn’t get you any brownie points to tell the IT guy that his designer dog is not a pretty little princess but a yappy, whiny beast in desperate need of proper training. Felt good though.
Eyeliner and nasal to literally breathe isn’t cosmetic. Choosing such a dog is.
When I first moved out flatmate had one. I will never approach the floor mops ever again after that. They’re cute when they’re not awake or anywhere near you though.
Yes. Same with giant spiders. Fascinating in pictures, please no in reality. (Anslem the household huntsman does not count)
Expedition Fail. Internet order it is then. No points for guessing I spent extra on fancy chillis.
River pebbles river pebbles where them river pebbles
In the river. Where they belong.
Uh, purchased “river rocks” are quarried from dry alluvial deposits, or quarry pits then artificially polished. No one ever takes them from active river beds
Shopping done, winter coats out on line after a good wash. House clean. Time to reeelax.
somewhat weird weather
off to brunnie for some shopping then home again , hope to finish my Moomin diorama later while watching Widow’s Bay again
Amazing. My stupid skin condition (psoriasis/seborrheic dermatitis caused by immune system having a conniption over normal fungus on my face) has now got a patch or two under my eye on my cheek.
I’m using Nizoral to keep it under control, but so annoying. I’m sure in 6 months it will have either migrated elsewhere or it will cover my whole face.
Least it isn’t contagious. Stupid immune system.
It did lead me down the rabbit hole of people with trauma having it manifest in weird physical ways. People with trauma are apparently 1.5 times more likely to develop physical illnesses as adults, like chronic fatigue or pain, weakened immune system, sensitive GI issues, etc. it’s so fascinating to me how it’s all interconnected, our brains and GI are so complex, that physical abuse can affect the unconscious systems of the mind and body and then manifest as physical illnesses.
I need to finish The Body Keeps The Score, it’s a hard read but well worth it.
(I mention GI next to brain, because there’s evidence to suggest that there are neurons there as well, and what we eat, and our gut biome, can also affect our mental and physical health. So cool)!!
Then once you’ve finished the book you get to spend a few years thinking about getting some of the therapies mentioned in it.
I’ve had my eye on EMDR for a while now. I know there’s events I don’t remember, and ones I do that require proper processing.
Did you like the book as well? Or did you find it more triggering than helpful? (Just curious, you don’t have to answer ofc :) )
I found EMDR to be effective.
Alas, I am out of sandwich pickle and also the celery seed to make a new batch. Botheration.
Happy International Talk Like a Pirate Day 🦜
I am the Captain now
That line is terrifying 😳
Shiver me timbers
