To be honest I don’t think this is a very good metric. It’s a combination of something good (number of people insured) and something bad (debt per insured person).

As an example, if you increased the number of people with insurance, and reduced the debt per uninsured person, you’d expect this to happen.

Not to say that things have actually gotten better, just that we should use more meaningful metrics.

The good and bad things are related though - what good is health insurance if it doesn’t pay for healthcare? It says a lot that Americans who buy insurance like they’re supposed to still can’t afford to use their own country’s hospitals.

If Obamacare had 60 votes, things wouldn’t be as fucked as they are. Also, the Democrat who refused to be the 60th vote is the leader of No Labels.

It’s almost as if the Democratic Party isn’t entirely to blame when only a select few choose to basically defect to the GOP. Not only are they the reason things are so awful, but they’re also actively putting forth a 3rd party candidate so Trump can coast to a general election win.

Remember when they had a supermajority and still needlessly gave concessions to the Republicans on policy, Healthcare included.

Or more recently, remember when they would denounce republican immigration policy. But are now trying to push stuff through that’s even farther right than what they denounced?

Stop trying to pretend that the democrats aren’t that bad and they’re just held back by the Republicans. The ghouls do it to themselves.

This has to be satire. Of all the uneducated and simplistic of shitlib takes this must be the most uneducated and simplistic of shitlib takes that could be posted on a leftist sub.

If you haven’t taken the time to educate yourself on Marxism and DiaMat then all you have is the idealist liberalism, the ideology of capitalism, that’s been shoveled down your throat all day every day since birth. It’s not an education. You should know this, be humbled by it, and educate yourself fully and completely on matters outside that perspective. It’s the opposite of pushing Jon Stewart shitlib takes into public platforms.

Don’t know shit? Don’t post shit. Educate yourself instead. And no education comes quickly or easily.

you ever notice how when Dems made healthcare a major plank in their platform they couldn’t pull it off with the presidency and congress, but when the GOP made eliminating abortion a major plank in their platform they managed to do it with a split congress and without the presidency?
