I think you are right. Seems like a sloppified recreation of this classic

What is it with the wave of sloppified memes, that are just worse than the original? What is their point?

Everything has to be run through Ai. Just because. Shuuush. Soon we will forget about all that “human made” content and bathe in the glorious future of technology.

I will only ever make artisanal, handcrafted shitposts. And you can hold me to that, or my name isn’t Troy McLure.

Sometimes it’s easier to ask ai to recreate something you remember rather than finding the original one and reposting it 🤷‍♂️

That does not explain the heavy wave of such slop content in recent time, unless people have suffered from rapid mass dementia.

Probably soc media algorhytms give preferntial treatment to images with original hash sums, so LLM recreation gets built into the usual repost bot pipeline.

That makes more sense. It is surely not done just for fun. Gaming the attention economy with slop spam makes sense.

Agreed. I’ve never seen an IC with two indentations.

PLCCs like that do often have two indentations, on opposite corners due to the molding process. Doesn’t make this any less slop though.

Are the indentations just for orientation during soldering?

Yeah. 1 makes sense, 2 can be confusing and ruin your placements.
