I hardly believe that OpenStreetMap.org will deliver vector maps in 2024 by default when so far we not even saw a concept or demo. Vector Graphics do not only have advantages, but can also cause difficult performance or rendering problems. Features like clickable POIs are not dependent of vector graphics but need a whole different data distribution concept in backend.
This seems like some kickoff post for some work which will maybe done.
