Not trying to be edgy or something, but: sex. Or intimacy in general, but definitely sex.
Sex is the only thing on Earth I have found to give me an actual feeling of spirituality.
I’ve never heard that before but that’s really illuminating. I never really thought of sex as being framed so differently between different people.
Like sex to me feels like working out with someone you really like.
My wife. Second place goes to making music.
Talking to someone who is excited about something and infodumping on me. Almost whatever it is. When someone is that excited about something, I get excited about it too.
Learning new things :3
Spending time with my kids.
Watching my children have that revelatory understanding of something that up until that moment was a mystery.
Spending quiet time with the wife and no kids.
Kids take over everything, don’t they?
Watching my kids get excited about literally anything.
Justice. But besides that (especially because it’s so rare at larger scales), I guess just being at peace with all bills paid and my loved ones being in good health. 👍
Probably trees. Like looking up into a big tree… I feel my mind moving up into the branches and I lose myself for a moment. I look around at trees and I can’t believer I get to exist at the same time as these gorgeous things.
Being helpful. It’s my life ambition to always be in the right place at the right time when someone might need help. When someone’s in trouble, and I have or know exactly what’s necessary to avert a crisis (even a small one), I get warm inside.
I love being prepared for trouble, especially small troubles. I like seeing the relief on someone’s face when a serious inconvenience has been avoided. It’s one of the reasons my backpack is so heavy, lol.
I want to be the most helpful stranger.
Being a goofball with my husband. Once we get going it ends up with me crying laughing and him laughing so hard he is going to throw up.
Sitting outside with my cats, especially if I leave my phone elsewhere. Reread the prompt; the most joy comes from my wife affirming that I’m a good person
