The delistings might not have anything to do with The Rock, but rather geopolitics and the US involvement in sketchy conflicts.
Oh yeah, I imagine one has to be absolutely desperate to sign up for the army right now.
It is hitting +50C in the summer across the Arab World. Anyone dumb enough to enlist will die of heat before being killed by the resistance.
You’re suggesting ONLY 38 people total delisted during the total length of the promotion? Those are incredibly low numbers.
No. I’m just going by what the report says and offering a possible reason.
The US military HAS a method of distinguishing “delisting for reason A” from “delisting for reason B”, but they’re all coming up as false positives for The Rock’s endorsement? That seems a touch unlikely.
Recruits: is that The Rock? Fuck that I’m out!
is that The Rock
“We expected guns, so nope”
Tbf, when was the last time you’ve seen a decent military-related ad? Not just enlisting, but even stuff like working for weapons factories and such. And not just in USA either, if you’ve seen recent Russian ads for enlisting
“Poor as shit? Risk your life and we’ll give you a degree. Also honor and shit.”
We had recruiters in our grade school lunch room saying ^ that. I regret not organizing to get them banned.
Lovely! Well it seems Russian government decided to ape that, because their ads are all “Time for important decisions!” and just below that - “Get a million upfront”.
Like so:
So yeah. Military ads are cringe as hell
