Porn stars should use their platform for progress. I would click twice as fast if a video was titled “DP for universal healthcare” or “gang bang to end the war in Gaza”.

During the SOPA act debate years ago, I convinced my sister, who was a porn model from that time, to “censor” the pictures she published on Twitter with a black bar with “STOP SOPA” and to link to a page about it. She actually got a booster because her followers started commenting and discussing about it in her replies.

This is the natural evolution of the telethon. It was only a matter of time. Jerry Lewis would be proud.

Israeli society is divided over the arrest of 10 soldiers for the brutal gang rape of a Palestinian prisoner caught on video.

The video, which has been verified by Al Jazeera, shows the prisoner being selected from a larger group lying bound on the floor. The victim is then escorted to a wall, where guards, using their shields to hide their identity from the camera, proceed to rape him.

Israeli pressure group Guarding the Soldiers – a new organisation formed in defence of the soldiers accused of rape – was quoted in Israeli media as saying: “The hearing in the high court this morning is absurd and a gift to [Hamas leader Yahya] Sinwar and murderers.”

Israeli politicians, including cabinet members, have also defended the accused. Ben-Gvir, who is responsible for the prison service, told Israeli media on the day of the reservists’ arrest that it was “shameful” for Israel to arrest “our best heroes”. The same day, Smotrich, who had been among the right-wing mob to storm the prison, published a video message, saying that “IDF soldiers deserve respect” and must not be treated as “criminals”.

On being asked by Ahmad Tibi, one of the Arab MPs within the Israeli Knesset last week if it was legitimate “to insert a stick into a person’s rectum”, Hanoch Milwidsky, a member of Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu’s ruling Likud party, responded: “If he is a Nukhba [Hamas militant], everything is legitimate to do! Everything!”

russia did the same shit in ukraine, i certainly don’t remember seeing anybody shit and piss themselves nearly as much as they are now, russia is also known for engaging in “russification” just a little bit of cultural deletion going on, nothing to see here.

And this ignores the blatant bombing and attacks on civilian locations, including their own. Though that last bit might be more historical.

I’m sure china is guilty of at least a few of these as well.

like idk what you want me to say, that shits bad, and im pretty sure it’s already a crime. I’m also not even sure how prevalent this is, you don’t mention any numbers or anything. People in the ranks are corrupt, morally or monetarily, shit happens. The best you can do is deal with it retroactively, and if you don’t it merely breeds the influence of that culture.

It’s not like i can just up and move to palestine and start shooting Israelis, i guess i could complain online, but my opinion is that it’s already a shitty situation and that there are legitimate humanitarian concerns. But beyond that, it’s outside of my power.

it’s really not whataboutism, at the end of the day, far more life has been lost in and over russian/urkraine, than has been lost in palestine from israel.

You can’t call everything whataboutism, because then we would have no moral framework whatsoever. If everything had to be dealt with in isolation the law would be a mess. Thankfully it’s not, because it’s not dealt with in isolation. It’s dealt with at a broader social context.

Arguably this isn’t even whataboutism, because whataboutism is a deflection tactic used to focus on other issues entirely, of which i am not doing at all.

And to be pedantically specific, true whataboutism here would be you guys saying “israel is genociding palestine” and then me responding with “yeah and so is hamas, they’ve stated as such” that would be REAL whataboutism.

But in this case i’m merely referencing another conflict in a similar time span, in a similar area. To gauge consistency and general thoughts on the matter. Of which there seem to be none, i’ve never seen anybody in IP talk about this conflict, so that’s interesting. Doesn’t really mean much other than these people only want to talk about IP and only seem to know things about IP.
