I’ve seen some discussion that it creates another data point for fingerprinting, so if it causes privacy issues and doesn’t really improve privacy, I guess I can understand getting rid of it
If anyone has more informed perspective to add I’d be interested to hear it, I’m not super knowledgeable on this subject
That’s all there is to it. Websites are not legally required to care about it, and we’ve been proven that they don’t with GDPR because in an ideal world they would see your DNT header and not even ask. It is literally just an extra bit of information that can track you and it serves no purpose.
