I’m sure we’ve all been seeing imperial core reporting on the protests in Asia. They always seem to feature pictures of videos where the strawhat jolly Roger is visible, especially the pictures from Nepal, which we know for sure is a color revolution.

Imperial core media has been very positively been reporting on the flag, which is giving massive red flags.

One piece is my favorite piece of media so it’s painful to see the strawhats jolly Roger used by a cutout like the NED. Feels like a slap in the face.

My question is, does this feel like something a CIA cutout would co-opt and what is the reasoning for co-opting this particular flag? Are they doing shorthand to millennial-genz to try and gain support for the side that uses the flag? Is this symbol just useful because it’s everywhere already and they want to send a veiled threat to other governments? (“We can turn all these fans against you if you go against us”) Was it just convenient? Indonesian truck drivers used it, they decided to just co-opt it? Or am I way off base here and it was just a coincidence?

Makes me want to replace my strawhat decals with Revolutionary Army (also in one piece) so people don’t start suspecting me of being a fed or something.
