My Apple Watch series 5 has still got a battery drain with WatchOS 10.1.1 last max 12 hours. tried repairing and als reset and used as new watch nothing helps, Apple support could also not help. with WatchOS 9 i had no problem at all and could get almost 24 hours. Apple made mywatch worthless with this update!

is this the latest trick of Apple to let you buy a new watch?

So far I am seeing far worse battery performance on 10.1.1.

I updated last night and charged my s8 to 100%. Woke up this morning and the battery was at 75% (I wore it while sleeping from approx. 12:30am to 7am). I unpaired, and set up the watch from a backup this morning - it always seems to help with battery drain after an update - and charged to 100%. After 20 minutes the battery is at 95%.

Also, battery health was at 98% on 10.1 yesterday. Today it is 96%. What the hell, Apple??

Mine was 100% at 9am when I put it on my wrist. 2 pm, I got 65%. Not using LTE, not exercising… it’s a bummer this battery issue

S5, 10.1 totally screwed my battery life, could no longer last a day. Updated last night, and took my Watch off charge at 9:15 this morning and now at 21:45 I’m at 36%. Battery life is 84%. The update definitely helped and my Watch will make it to sleepy time.

UPDATE: After a full day and using it for my exercises I can confirm it won’t make it to 9 pm alive. When I would use to back in watchOS 9, it would last the whole day.

update it’s back to normal tonight. only issue is I can’t get it to charge to 100. I put it on for bed the same time every night, and it knew my schedule before. even leaving it on the charger an extra half hour didn’t move the needle. so I’m starting sleeping at 97 and have 96 after 45 minutes.

Recently refurbished Series 4 haven’t experienced any battery drain but a ton of bugs. Seems to be mostly fixed.

You guys have to change the settings…. Change the background refresh to less frequent, screen settings to 15 seconds on wake, apps off when watch is down, and no frequent heart rate reading

Or just use low power mode, that really saves alot of battery…… I set most of my settings to the low power mode settings, I just left my always on screen turned on…. My battery life seems to have improved a bit……

im getting 16 hours per charge, like 6am-9pm everyday …… AWs5 44mm, 78% battery health remaining

Woke up with 90 percent battery again and with this new watch os it was at 80 percent so it looks like it helped so far. I slept the same amount of hours as usual and hope it stays that way.
