I have too much time and decided to write an analysis of Sarper from a Turkish perspective in case it’s of interest 😂
First of all, I’m from Istanbul. Sarper’s family seem middle to upper middle class to me. His career choices (stripper, fitness instructor etc.) would not be considered a success by his family so he probably feels that he has somewhat failed in life.
On the other hand, most women that he interacts with in his daily life (colleagues?) are probably of a poorer background. He would not consider them to be “good enough” for him and his family. Similarly, he would not be considered “good enough” for women who come from a similar socioeconomic background to himself due to his career.
That really only leaves him the option of marrying a foreigner and trying to build a life abroad. Shekinah is his way of saving face.
I get the feeling most of his “2500” women were foreign
He is a male escort - plain and simple - and : * Shekinah is his way of saving face. * …
which face are you referring to?My apologies for my smart ass comment, it was actually funny now when I’m reading it properly
It’s an expression “Be embarrassed or humiliated, especially publicly. For example, Terry lost face when his assistant was promoted and became his boss”
I think the person above you was making a joke about Shekinah’s face before surgery or after surgery
I’m in Istanbul too. I can’t figure out how he can afford his own apartment and a car with the job he has. His parents must have helped him.
OMG! Can you imagine having to support this 43 year old “bad boy” because he’d rather be full of himself than get a real job 😂🤣 This must be what “influencers” look like when they grow up.
Or escort job.
I know Istanbul is huge but I swear he’s staying in the air bb I stayed in … I’ve been trying to see the address on the building 🧐
A lot of these couples are put in airbnbs for the filming so it makes sense
Was the bed all torn up when you were there?
Don’t let Sarper add you to his 2500 if he finds out you both slept in the same bed 🤣
I actually think a lot of the 90 couples rent AirBNBs to make it seem they have nicer places
Thankfully I had a nice, non vile , plain bed. There was three air bb suites, I had the little one
male whore
Definitely a slut person
Thanks for that breakdown. It’s always good to hear the perspective of someone from the actual culture and not just speculations.
this! 🏆
Love that you filled us in! Thank you!
I’d just add that there’s no middle class in Turkey
They’re upper middle class and educated for sure
I could definitely see that
My exact thoughts!!! Also Turkish. The first thing I thought about him was that he could never find a woman like Shikanah in turkey. Turkish women would see his bullshit right away. He is a loser if you ask me. Its just a cultural thing where it’s easier to see the red flags early on
All those 2500 people probably slept with him, maybe had a good time and continued with their life building deeper relationships. They treated him like a bad boy like he says and Sarper made this his entire personality. Just super cringe to see him being proud of that
Turkish women would see his bullshit right away.
To be fair, I’d like to think a lot of American women would see through his BS.
He’s not exactly subtle about his red flags (“I told you I didn’t want kids when we met because I was trying to f*** you”). She is just in a sex haze and can’t see what’s right in front of her. What she finds cute now will be extremely annoying if they spend six months together.
Honestly I’m surprised Shekainah doesn’t see through his bullshit. I feel like any woman from any country should be able to….
Thank you op! God I wish we could get this insight from the other countries, it would really help explain the other side 🙏
I thought the same. He definitely speaks English well and he even used a Latin phrase (carpe diem). It’s clear he’s an educated man just with an interesting lifestyle.
Nah, I’ve heard much better English in Turkey, he sounds like a Sultanahmet carpet salesman to me.
Thank you for your perspective.
Sarper’s mom said that it was the woman’s roll to give in to her husband and sacrifice her own wants and needs if her husband wants a child.
Is that mentality common in Turkey?
He definitely would be a family let down with his career choice, not being more established and having a family as an only male child. There’s probably extra pressure to procreate now that he’s dating what appears to be a respectable woman. If the Turkish culture is like other culture, there’s pride and considered a step up to date an American foreigner (with money). Sarper throwing tantrums shows his insecurities and limited relationship experience. Those outbursts are not okay. Shekinah should put him on timeout.
He thought she could be persuaded to have a child with him.
They’re done. It’s always about having a child with these 90-day couples.
She’s not handling this in a mature manner either!
“He needs to choose to have a child, or choose to be with me!”
Why, Shekinah? You’re no prize package either, and you already fulfilled being a mother.
Choose a man with grown children, so you can travel together.
It is Karma though with him, like he said.
I really love these kind of background posts. It’s really helpful to get another perspective! Thank you for sharing :)
That’s actually really interesting! I’m always wondering what non-Americans think of the show :)
Let’s say Sarper started having sex at the age of 20, although he was probably much younger. He’s 45 now, so that’s 25 years. Twenty-five hundred women in twenty-five years would average 100 women a year, or approximately two women per week. That doesn’t seem impossible for a promiscuous person.
