Funny how big the overlap is between the average .ml user and the average Russian propagandist.
Stalin made a military alliance with the Nazis, they invaded Poland together.
Sure, after they betrayed him, he started fighting back. But he was 100% on Team Nazi initially. He loved Nazis. He actually liked the Nazis so much that he sold out a lot of the German communists to be killed by Hitler, because he didn’t vibe with the German communists. They weren’t authoritarian, they kept doing their own thing which isn’t a Stalin permissible activity, and so he collaborated with Hitler to have them killed. He also killed a bunch of German communists who fled from the Nazis to the Soviet Union.
I am to this day baffled by internet “leftists” who want to say good things about the USSR. I bring this example up to them, and they generally just deny that any of that is true. Regardless, if they’d lived in Soviet times, they would have either been working the prisons because of their reverence for “communism” in its USSR i.e. very very un communist form, or housed in them. I just don’t fucking get it.
Appreciated.
Fuck Stalin, and every fake-ass “leftist” that evokes his name as something positive.
It’s also false to say the USSR didn’t incarcerate people under Stalin. The USSR under Stalin holds the record for a modern nation incarcerating the highest percent of its population, more than double the USA’s current incarcerated pop and the USA is the current leader in total and percentage not counting China’s fenced off genocides. If those did count then I suppose Israel would probably lead in percentage.
Millions of people died working in mills and quarries under Stalin.
Right, and it’s had an influence on modern day Russia as well. Putin’s use of fenya was well-received and even played a role in his rise to power because it made sense to the population and made him look like he’s of the people.
Edit: Grammar.
Absolutely insane example sentences here
- “Ропа кимать, полумеркот, рыхло закурещат ворыханы.” (Ropa kimat’, polumerkot, rykhlo zakureshchat vorykhany.)
-
- Normative Russian: “Пора спать, полночь; скоро запоют петухи.” (Pora spat’, polnoch; skoro zapoyut petukhi.)
- Translation: “It’s time to go to bed, it’s midnight, soon the roosters will be crowing.”
- “Да позагорбил басве слемзить: астона басвинска ухалила дряботницей.” (Da pozagorbil basve slemzit’; astona basvinska ukhalila dryabotnitsey.)
-
- Normative Russian: “Да позабыл тебе сказать: жена твоя померла весною.” (Da pozabyl tebe skazat’: zhena tvoya pomerla vesnoyu.)
- Translation: “Oh, I forgot to tell you: your wife died this spring.”
How unfortunate that Putin and Stalin are more alike than different.
i really don’t believe that these hardcore tankies believe the things they’re saying….
to what end, i don’t know….
i mean, they do make communists seem like horrible people, so it could just be for that…
