I mean imagine if he makes 744k this year (44x17) and gets cut. He’s set up real wel, but if he was living in New York instead of with his parents a good portion of that is down the drain and he would have to find a new job that wouldn’t pay nearly as well. He’d be set up well for sure, but I wouldn’t consider him wealthy in this economy in New York

That does seem to be the premise of the article, as though there are not tons of people in the tri-state area who make that in a year.

This is reddit bro. Anyone that makes over 100k a year is an evil oppressor, except running backs, and late round QBs. Running backs and late round qbs deserve generational wealth.

It’s all relative. The injured starter, Daniel Jones, made $2.7 million yesterday if you divide his 2023 total payments across 17 games.

        He lives in New Jersey

But yeah basically that’s not much. Can’t even buy a house near where he lives for 400k

He’s one of the most important employees of a multibillion dollar organization. He is absolutely being underpaid.

It is, but also isn’t in high cost of living places. Gotta imagine he won’t be getting 44K/week for the rest of his life. Hope he’s saving it wisely. He can start a business or something when his career is over
