Maybe someone here can advise me :)

I’m a Mexican national who has been living in Germany for the past 3 years. I learnt recently that I would probably be eligible for a Spanish passport(which would make life a lot easier). Do you know if I can apply for the passport/citizenship from Germany because it’s an EU country? Or would I have to be living in Spain? I’m quite settled in Germany now, so I’d rather not have to move. I’ve tried looking online for information about this particular situation but have found it difficult. Would be grateful for all advice on the topic :)

    The wording makes it seem like you’re asking about the 2-year citizenship process in Spain. No, you’d have to reside in Spain for two years and then some for processing time.

    But, if not, additional specifics would be helpful as there are other ways to obtain Spanish citizenship.
