I graduated last summer with an accounting degree, and have 2 years experience (1 year as an accounting intern, 1 in a graduate role).

Should I keep applying for jobs and hope that someone is willing to sponsor me for a visa, or go for 6 months on a working holiday visa working in hospitality and apply for jobs while there?

The former seems like a very unlikely option but feels a lot less risky than the latter.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve been in Australia for 6 years and I have yet to have a pathway to permanent residency at all, even from studying here. I work in media and advertising and my current company has hinted that they can sponsor me, so I’m hoping that plays out but if not it’s onto Europe for me.

Australia in general makes it very hard to migrate here, even if you’re an employee making bank unless you work within certain industries a company won’t be able to sponsor you at all.
