My wife and I are in our mid 60’s and retired. We are horrified about possibility of the USA electing a fascist dictator in 2024 and are looking for resources who can coach us in how to relocate and move enough of our money to live on should the USA go in that direction.
We’re considering Panama and Costa Rica. Portugal looks really nice but is seems the favorable tax status is being recinderd.
Any advice regarding resources would be a good start for us. We will probably be taking a trip or 2 to scout things out in the spring.

Yeah this was the actual problematic part of the OP. If you are going to move somewhere and enjoy the fruits of that new country, pay your taxes. Otherwise you just help fuel (somewhat justifiably) new anti-immigrant dictators I would think lol
