Most people actually did not say that about Lamar Jackson, there were a few holdouts who refused to acknowledge he actually had the arm talent and brain to play in the NFL. That was actually pretty clear if you watched him play and not just highlights. Daniels does not look as polished as Lamar at this stage of the game. That doesn’t mean he can’t be, it just means he’s a question mark still.
Lamar was pick 32. Pretty much everyone passed on him once (even the Ravens). Obviously there were concerns for NFL scouts. If they knew who he was he would be top3.
29 teams passed on Lamar, that’s more than a few holdouts… All I’m saying is people have their reasons to not like a prospect. I like to look at upside rather than limitations. I hate a high floor low ceiling pick, personally.
I feel like I’d rather have Jayden Daniels
He’s the most electrifying player for sure, I’m not sold on him as an NFL QB though.
They said the exact same thing about Lamar Jackson. Daniels all day this draft!
They also said the exact same thing about Malik Willis
Willis played at liberty and was a 3rd round pick while Lamar played in the acc and was 1st round pick, completely different scenarios.
Comparing Heisman winner at Louisville to Liberty’s Malik Willis?? Nah

He was still a 1st round pick that is Big vote of confidence

Lamar Jackson was the definition of upside coming out of college
