I’m thinking about getting a PS5 Pad. I know that the PS5 pad received some driver support however i read that the Adaptive Triggers don’t work (does that mean the triggers don’t work at all?). Though i can’t find any newer info about that and don’t know if this still is a thing.
I know that i could pick up some 8bitdo Pro Pad as an alternative though i haven’t been happy with their quality (The R and L Buttons suffer from a really bad design with a very thin rubber that died on me the second Time already)

Adaptive triggers should work if the game explicitly supports them.

Actually the main issue with the Dualsense so far for me is “if the game explicitly supports them”. Because some games just don’t, then you have to fall back to Steam Input and get XBox prompts. Some games only support it wired, but not via Bluetooth. Some do both, but only support the adaptive triggers and/or the touchpad on the PS5 version, not on PC.

It’s a mess, sadly. I got one recently and both ergonomically and from a purely technological standpoint I think the Dualsense is waaaayyyy better than the XSX controller. Sony “just” needs to make more devs properly support it.
