Overcame two sloppy turnovers and played well for like 75% of the game. Everyone played hard today great win. FTS

Yea but I’m out on him next season unless he goes almost turnover free each game the rest of the season. Cant win games with back breaking INTS/fumbles . Would rather draft Daniels and have Ridder as cheap backup

Absolutely loved him using his legs today. Nothing downfield? Tuck it and run. Before the benching he was holding on to the ball way too long and then getting blasted.

We will be good as long as we run the ball and keep sorry ass Van Jefferson off the field. Don’t even look his way anymore.

I think you will see a huge difference next year. He has a lot of work to do to get better. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt

I wanted him to get a shot and he did, but we need to draft a QB. Personally I’d draft one and sign one. Somebody has to be good out of those three.

A better coach will get his hands on him and he’ll be a serviceable starter. Somewhere else.

        Right lol " Next Year".

They need to bring in a QB for a true position battle and not just hand him the job like they did this year. He’s a backup, Falcons need to find a true franchise QB.

Idk if he’s given us enough this year to keep him around he’d really have to look like a completely different player to keep his job but I think we’ll be seeing a new qb under center next year.

In games that Ridder plays from start to finish the Falcons are 5-3. Some people claim the Falcons win despite Ridder but that logic doesn’t hold as when he didn’t start the Falcons lost.

In total, games Ridder has started and finished the Falcons are 7-5. Ridder will truly have played an entire season after four more games.

If you compare first year QB wins/losses and metrics such as TD/INT ratio, Ridder has played better than some of the all time greats did their first season.

I don’t think I’ve ever been annoyed with our fanbase as much as this season with the constant dunking on Ridder when he’s a 3rd round pick who’s gonna take time to develop if he develops into anything. Actively cheering against him when he makes good plays in games and writing him off weeks ago despite flashes and coming through in multiple clutch situations at end of games.

I don’t know if he’ll ever become our franchise QB but it’s almost as annoying as the Ryan hate over the years.

People having no patience at all for a young 3rd round QB to develop is pretty frustrating. Ironically I’m pretty sure people would have a lot more patience with him if he had been drafted in the first round.

He hasn’t shown any reason to believe in him. He’s been terrible all season, if he was drafted in the first round people would have declared him a complete bust by now. He isn’t developing.

I’d say that he’s arguably playing at least as well as first round picks like Mac Jones or Kenny Pickett. I’m not convinced that he’s going to be a good starter, but he’s not completely trash either.

Kenny Pickett and Mac Jones are completely trash and so is Ridder. 11 touchdowns to 14 turnovers.

Today’s play calling helped him a lot too. Lots of running opened up easy passing lanes for him. I feel like our receivers actually got separation when earlier this season every pass the defender was right on top of the receiver.

I said this at the beginning of the season:

Atlanta’s focus should be on having a good defense while also having a good run game that can chew the clock up & take a lot of pressure off Ridder. The issue I have with Ridder is he’s too inconsistent. He either has the highest of highs or lowest of lows, there’s no middle ground. Doesn’t help that Arthur Smith doesn’t like using a lot of the weapons on offense, though it looked like he finally got the message over the bye week.

If Ridder can play games consistently without making many mistakes, then Atlanta will win games.

He should be, more upside than Heinecke. Just play it out. I still think smith needs to go and Ridder with a real OC and QB coach could be very very good

I hear the commentary say it today, Ridder looked fearful out there before Heinicke came in. What i saw today wasn’t the same dude who had turnovers during that 4 game stretch. He looked a lot more decisive and a lot more mature today that he had been.

He made some. Mistakes but and had a few bad throws, but he beat the Aints and now needs to ride this wave.

I’ll add to it. If ridder wasn’t staring down multiple 3To games. Neither of these are that bad

The Falcons don’t have much of a choice.

They are giving him a chance to let the front office know they don’t need to draft or sign another QB and be hasn’t done much to prove they shouldn’t. Ridder isn’t a franchise QB but since he has more future potential than Taylor he should play. Play and evaluate your 3rd round pick.

Well, the reality is that with Ridder, we have better hope at the playoffs than with Heinicke. The team snapped a 3-game losing streak that had Heinicke under center with a win against our fierce rivals in a must-win situation. This win strengthens our chances of winning the South.

Let’s face it and accept it, with Ridder, the teams wins (and loses). With Heinicke, the team just wasn’t winning. Idk what it is, but eh, let’s ride it out with Ridder.
