Aunt, uncle, 2 cousins are chosen family/family friends. They and some biological family live a while away, so every summer, our 3 families go camping somewhere together! We’ve been chosen family since Aunt and Mom knew each other (before I was born) and it’s always fun! I also have a few online friends, but I don’t feel close enough to them to call them family.

Hi I’m AuDHD (autism ADHD) it is not inherently autistic to find places like grocery stores discomforting, as they are meant to be discomforting, as your decision making is heavily reduced when you’re overstimulated, and thus customers buy more product, or the wrong product so they have to come back and buy more, etc.

I do get overstimulated and sometimes overwhelmed by grocery stores, yeah. If you have any questions about this, or autism, or ADHD, feel free to ask!

How to do almost anything by hand, and the phonetic alphabet (specifically nato phonetic alphabet) can be useful for misunderstandings. I want to learn shavian, an alphabet optimized for english, just for fun.

Everything, almost. Cars, phones, computers, spices, water on demand, electricity, the quantity and quality of almost everything, etc.

If the average person from, say, mid 1600’s were teleported to now, they would be so unimaginably confused, and hostile towards everything, and that makes sense, since so much has changed.

The internet would be something beyond comprehension for them, yet it’s something most of us use multiple times a day.

This! If I were to make an indie game (which I want to do), I’d want it to be available in in different languages, but I don’t have the time or energy to learn more than 100 languages, so I’d implement something similar to google translate for languages I don’t know, and for ones I do know, I’d try to translate!

Epic definitely licenses games, if you read tos/eula. He’s just hoping users don’t notice and let it slide unnoticed. It is really nice when AI is disclosed, too.

I think they should disclose genai but stuff like NPC pathfinding, terrain generation, etc have been around since before genai don’t have to be disclosed, but can optionally be disclosed.

Hell, even the first video game, ping pong, had an NPC AI of sorts, a simple one, but it’s still there.

Imo, code is yet another form of art, and genai trains on it the same way as language arts and visual arts. Ai code also tends to be glitchy (see microsoft trying to make their code ai, then the code breaking lots) so I think it would be good to disclose that, so if any players have a glitchy game, they know what’s at fault

I agree that “Made with AI” is necessary, and clarification would be very helpful.

Some ideas I have:

• In general made with AI (undisclosed)

• Textures (the colour/texture or if 2d, sprites)

• Character (3d models)

• Code (self-explanatory)

• SFX/Dialogue (audio)

• GUI (user interface)

• Other/Multiple (editable tag, specifies any other AI generated assets used)

I think multiple being applicable at once if there’s multiple parts AI generated in a game would also be helpful. There would probably be more categories/tags for everything else that goes into a game.

I think how you see it is that on reddit, some communities require karma (points) and/or age to interact with the community. On both sites, it’s self-governing, like how most bots and trolls get downvoted to hell, and whether you should interact or take them seriously, stuff like that. I can’t say anything much about lemmy, since I’m also new to it, but it’s a way of self-governing… the algorithms also use votes to sort what gets shown at the top and bottom of a page and anywhere in between.

I’m currently on lemmy.ml and I’m relatively new, so remember other instances may be different, and take what I say with a grain of salt, because I’m new.

I think it’s good for judging points and whatnot, but there’s definitely some places that could not have mods replaced by votes. I agree when it comes to most communities though. Have a great day! :D
