I’m convinced that the people that still think Carr is an elite QB on Reddit are just his family members. Even his ex teammate Bruce Irvin says he gets rattled. He plays decent when he has a clean pocket. But he is nowhere near elite and the Saints like the Raiders overpaid him.
Defense looks better since AP took over but offense is about the same.
We have to win some that we aren’t expected to win. But the difference is now I expect us to have a surprise win or two where before we always had a surprise loss or two against shifty teams. So yeah I think we got a chance to make the playoffs.
It’s not just one reason why we have been bad for 20 years. We haven’t drafted well. We haven’t developed guys as you mentioned more than a few have left and had success elsewhere. We haven’t been disciplined on or off the field. We don’t have a winning culture.
I think AP can solve some of those issues. But I have concerns about his ability to develop talent, draft and make in game adjustments. I think Davis sees that as well. I’m sure he thought was getting a guy in Mcdaniels that had been around a very successful program and hopefully could duplicate it here. Turns out he was a clown. Personally Harbaugh is growing on me. I think he can do a lot of the things we need to get the franchise turned around.
