Waiting for a Mahomes is a fools game. Sure, I’d love to wait until the best player to come from the draft since Brady is available. The reality is every year the QB class is highly unknown until that season before. This class gives us prime position to draft a guy in the teens that has a higher possibility of being good than most years. Our O line is not as bad as people keep shouting about. Yes, it needs help, but this exact unit was top 10 to finish the year last season. AOC just takes 88 seconds to decide to throw the ball.

That being said, what I care about most is that whatever FO we get, they draft someone they truly believe in and not just swing to swing.

You’re madly out of touch with reality. Ik you just want to defend this team, but plenty of “bad” people are in this sport. Carter was street racing. Something that’s all over the place. If you think Carter is an outlier, you don’t have a clue. It wasn’t drugs. It wasn’t gang related (Arnette). Parsons did way worse shit and look at that? He’s phenomenal. Remember Kareem Hunt? I forgot Cleveland was a poster child for a good culture. The fact is that the only possible way we end up in a situation to draft a player of his caliber in that draft is if he had baggage.

First of all, Mahomes wasn’t even there yet. Second of all Carter didn’t kill anyone. He wasn’t even driving the car with the people that died. You’re just making excuses.

You’re way overplaying this. You act like he was doing anything other than being a dumb college kid. He just got caught up. What’s your excuse for Hill? For Parsons? KC and DAL just have better “support networks?” We just have absolutely no resources? No vets to help guide a young kid? It’s not that Philly has a better “support network.” They simply do what good teams do and draft good players because they believe in their system. No he didn’t. This reply is to everyone, but I just chose you. There are numerous cases like this of players being troublemakers before the draft and overanalyzing their character is pointless. Parsons is a beast. Hill is a beast. Philly has all kinds of temptations. I’m so sick of hearing about being with teammates. He was with teammates when he was doing stupid shit! Him and the Ruggs situation are completely different. The reality is that the only way Carter falls to us is because of this situation and we didn’t take advantage of it. We missed on taking a great player just like half a dozen teams whiffed on taking Parsons.

And we passed on Carter 🤦‍♂️

I really don’t think some of you realize the gravity of drafting a QB. Outside of AOC going pro bowl the rest of the way we HAVE to draft a QB. This is one of the deepest classes I can remember with legit late 1st round talent. Waiting til next year is foolish. IF you can get a guy that you believe in, you take him. Period. I’m tired of hearing about these anomaly players. Jackson and Mahomes were guys those teams really wanted. Philly got lucky. Our team is not as far away as this fan base screams about. And if it is, then we need to blow it up. Being stuck in the middle is absolutely the worst thing you can do.

Because they try to be BB instead of trying to carve their own path. The hard nosed, strict stuff doesn’t work anymore, unless you have pedigree.
