I listened to the Martian on a cross country trip. When driving I like things that do not take a lot of concentration so I can keep my eyes on the road.
The book heavier on science than the movie.
I like the occasional murder mystery and put that down every once in a while when they get very tense.
Must of my usual reading is not problem.
I listened to The Martian. If I hadn’t already read it, it would have been very hard to follow all the science going on.
I don’t worry about speed. I read for pleasure.
It depends on the length of the book. No way I can read The Stand as fast as a novella.
The Dragon Riders of Pern but once their original author died I stopped buying them. Her son just didn’t have her talent.
JD Robb’s In Death series.
