Honestly the easier way to switch from solar DC to grid AC is to just have a flywheel between the grid and the solar power plant. It might not be as efficient as a capacitor bank or super capacitor bank but it’s dead simple to implement and it’s extremely reliable.

While there are no laws that really stop an AI from doing whatever, there are already laws to stop someone from doing that. It might be difficult to find a corporation like UHC guilty of fraud when they use a faulty AI to refuse health care, it’s pretty easy to go the other way and charge a person for using a corporation’s AI in a way they did not intend.

I’m sorry to say, but that’s not necessarily true. It would need to be a police recording or record of someone threatening you for them to actually have to do anything. You could walk into a precinct with a bona fide video of someone making a serious threat to your life and the police typically won’t do anything about it. That same person could make a clip about murdering you and post it online with a clear plan to kill you and the police still wouldn’t have to act. All of that is hearsay, regardless of how serious the intent is and the police can choose to ignore it. Unless it’s someone worth helping, someone who might be able to make a sizable donation.

You don’t have to do anything to ‘prove it’

It’s an outdated attitude. When I was in highschool I knew of a handful of classmates who were apartment hunting for their 18th birthday. Some parents thought it was best to get the kid out of the craddle as fast as possible so they could start facing the real world. Others, their parents hated being parents and wanted the kid out. Keep in mind that back then a highschool student with a decent part time job that gave over a dozen or so hours a week could just barely afford a starter apartment, but it was doable. Now that same job wouldn’t be enough to cover the electricity bill. Today it’s an incredibly heartless thing to do to a teenager.

It’s okay to feel two things. I feel bad that something tragic happened, but also good that it couldn’t have happened to a worse person. I don’t know anything about his kids and I don’t want to. I hope his kids leave the spotlight and have a happy, peaceful life. Of course if they choose to follow in their fathers footsteps deals off, but if they just choose to live quiet, small lives like the rest of us they should be given peace.

Not just parents dying but kids too. It was this guy’s responsibility to make sure the people who managed the company would refuse as much life saving care for children as possible. Is he though? Isn’t one of the purposes of presidential pardons to protect a person from unjust political persecution. If Republicans weren’t Trump’s party I would agree it’s nepotism, but it is Trump’s party who will be in power. Trump has vowed to seek revenge on his opponents. Joe Biden is too old to really be punished as much as the Republicans want him to be, but Hunter Biden has many years left. MAGA Republicans could punish him for their hate of his father for at least four years, if not the rest of his life. Isn’t that one of the purposes of a presidential pardon?
