Rooney 47th all time is probably generous tbh.

Man for man, England had a more stacked starting XI in the 2000s than now. They had world class players in every position in those days. This England team performs better and is also pretty stacked but not quite world class in every position yet. Like another person said, the 2000s England team mostly peaked around kind of the same time (2004-06) but this one has more of a mix of veterans and youngsters so they should be decent for longer.
Then we get more blatant fouls and offside calls being missed. Who’d want to go back to that world?
Spent his time well at rennais I guess haha
Liverpool will fall away in February with afcon and Asia cup hampering them. This’ll affect Arsenal too but they don’t have a Mo Salah in their team. Arsenal will continue to push until may because of their fantastic defense and control but City will win again after they get into their Spring gear. City aren’t as dominant as they used to be but it’s tough to see Arsenal winning besides major City injuries and everyone miraculously staying healthy at Arsenal.
Kind of crazy to think this current City team isn’t as good as previous ones in the league st least. It’s somehow true but they’re still clear of everyone haha.
The prem is stronger these days, so it’s not bad for a team like Chelsea to be mid-table during a rebuild. The real question is if they’re still mid-table two or three seasons from now, that’s when you know the status of the club has seriously changed.
Not just a couple seasons ago for Forest, literally last season haha. Yes, QPR made a lot of changes for the 14/15 season. Rio Ferdinand and everything. Didn’t do well haha and went right back down. QPR continue disappointing me till this day, painful to be a supporter.
Classic striker’s finish there from Bellingham, the man can’t help himself this season. Good run from rodrygo too.
Fantastic delivery there, lovely whip and pace. Happy with pau scoring this too cause he’s on my fpl lol.
I thought 1954 was their peak when they reached the world cup final?
Fantastic ball from Saka there, people aren’t talking enough about it. Nice to see someone other than City top the table for once. Well done to Arsenal for grinding out the win.
Wow that’s nice. Surprising to see someone like Sterling doing this.
Its surprising how high Spurs are. Who did they have up there from back in the day? Greaves, Lineker, Graham? Who else?

Personally, I want georgia to make it. Greece have history at the Euros but georgia and kazakhstan don’t. The kazakhs don’t have the same star power as georgia with kvara so georgia it is for me.
Interesting ratings and picks. Aguero only started like half the games in the 17/18 season a bit like Kompany in 18/19, they should probably put the second best striker season there that actually played most the season there instead. I think thats Kane in 20/21 or Kane 22/23. Also, WhoScored’s goalkeeper ratings system is a bit tragic. Peak De Gea in 2017 or whatever should have had a higher average rating than 2015 Fabianski. Slightly surprised with Fuchs making it from that leicester side but he was a very solid component so thats fair, I guess there’s also been a dearth of elite LBs in recent times. Compare the top 10 RBs over the last two or three years with the top 10 LBs and there’s a big gap in quality lol.
Controversial decision that but at least pickford saved it. Good dive from him, unlucky with the rebound obviously but I have faith England will step it up a gear next half and win.
Yeah I agree its probably because of the high physical intensity of the game these days. I’m not sure about the longer injury time tbh because that’s something that hasn’t even been around for a year but we’ve had increasing numbers of injuries for a couple years now.
England? Probably right now tbh, 2018-Present. The prem is the richest league and most successful in Europe over the last 5 seasons. The national team has been pretty good. The talent pipeline has been fantastic and the future looks bright. England have a solid chance at winning this upcoming euros in 6 months time. England just rose to 3rd in the fifa rankings and you didn’t see people complaining, big sign of how far the team has come right there. End of the day, I’m living in the good old days right now so I might as well enjoy it while it lasts.
