  • It’s more accurate to say all plants have always domesticated humans. We came after them, we depend on them to survive, we’re required to consume their waste to live, so we can’t live without them. They, however, have the option of consuming our waste to live, but are perfectly capable of living without us, and will likely continue to do so after we’re extinct.

  • If you would shoot someone over a parking spot, you shouldn’t be able to own a gun.

For the non-US people out there, you should know the shooter will lose his second ammendment rights following this incident. A conviction for any violent crime, even domestic violence, makes it illegal for you to own or possess firearms, and will cause you to fail the background check required for any and all gun purchases (yes, even at gun shows). There’s a grace period where you’re allowed to surrender to the police any guns you can’t legally sell, but after that, it’s illegal to own or possess any firearms for life.

For some reason, I feel like a lot of people, even US citizens, don’t realize this.

  • The popularity of lobster rolls mostly comes from a time, not so long ago, when eating lobster and shrimp was on about the same level as eating crickets. People in the Northeast would catch them for export. Poor kids brought lobster rolls to school, rich kids brought baloney sandwiches or Oscar Mayer hot dogs. Eventually, people decided lobster was a “luxury” food so now you get these tiny little lobster rolls for absurb prices. Hard to understand how they’d attract any new fans today.

  • We know it’s not a joke. The three most populated cities in the US are in deep blue states and full of people who don’t want this. For everyone in those cities, it would take days and hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, to travel to the White House. Most of us are behind on rent, have had our cars repossessed, don’t make a living wage, don’t have healthcare, and have unsustainable credit card debt.

Outside of a very vocal minority, the American people are overwhelmingly united around the fact that we don’t want this to happen.

However, the American people aren’t in control of the American government, and the American government are overwhelmingly united around corporate interests.
