I had this same thought. What beautiful life did they build? She built one up in her head prior to marrying him and moving there that’s for sure. She like a lot of others on the show think it’s going to be like one long romantic getaway…ugh. I’m just glad the dog is okay because that whole scene had me triggered.

I am not a fan of these two in general. I do see some points that Kimberly has absolutely. I do have a hard time though with her being clueless about the expectations in the marriage prior to their wedding. Yes TJ should have done a better job of telling her and NOT playing it down or lie to her. But I’m sorry I gotta say it’s also in large part up to the person who is coming to LIVE and MARRY into another culture to do their due diligence as well. I don’t think the way he speaks to her is acceptable though. And if he so breezily can say go back to the U.S. that’s it she needs to start over back in America.

I would have been gone, beside all the other red flags, after he says things about trying to make her a perfect woman and weighing her. The disrespect he showed her in front of her sister was gross. He only liked her for what he feels is her physical perfection. It’s sick.

This. 100%… always the people that talk about being guided by this or that, or having spiritual connections from what I’ve seen are the individuals that when it comes down to real life tough stuff, can’t handle themselves appropriately. They constantly seek validation it goes against much of what they preach.

Regardless of her history with other relationships he’s had I thought her attitude definitely sucked. Like…at least try to be normal when meeting someone for the first time. Ugh.

I don’t think there’s ever been a couple where one side in my opinion so clearly has zero interest in the other. Manuel is the textbook definition of going along with whatever for a green card. I see no chemistry between them at all.

When I was online dating it never occurred to me to even attempt to get involved with someone overseas. There is way too much drama involved and I wanted someone tangible that I can actually DATE and share real time with and form a bond with. I’m not saying it’s wrong for everyone, just not right for me.

I know I’m in the minority but I always liked her. Do I agree with her reactions to everything? No. But I do think with many other people in her life she comes off to me like a very loving and caring person.

Going with Ed’s photography because bad photos or weird interactions during a shoot seem to be the lesser of all of these other potential evils lol

His red flags are ALL over the place. He’s very defensive and manipulative. I think he’s proven himself to be quite a hypocrite considering prior to them being together he told her “oh if I had a woman like you…” well you do, and still act like an idiot so…

He comes off as the stereotypical gaslighter in my opinion. I don’t know how Sophie or any woman would be able to trust someone like him and want to marry into a situation where you already know he’s done things behind your back.

Bullying sucks but no offense when you choose to put your life on tv you’re going to experience the good, the bad, and the ugly on social media. Not saying it’s right, but it’s inevitable

There are definitely worse but I’m not a fan either lol. The major turning point for me was when he talked about how “he’s good looking so he wants a certain type of woman”. Then he gets her, and we find out he’s cheated on her. Gross.
