I love Actual. So, so good. I cancelled YNAB in favor and can’t ever think of going back. Aside from not having to pay $100 a year you’re also not supporting the Mormon Church (YNAB is a Mormon-run company).
Awesome link. Thank you for sharing
He definitely did. This is just a points farming account for some reason.
Endless growth will kill us all. I can’t tell you how much I detest these “concerns”.
I think the web in general has a problem with authoritarian MLs domineering the discussions. To be fair it feels like a lot of them are chronically online, because I’ve never seen as many chaotic tankies IRL as I have seen on the web.
I don’t really engage that much in anarchist debates on the net but I feel that it’s nice to have an internet community surrounded by like-minded as well. There are spaces near me, but there aren’t really that many anarchists around. Most are state socialists in one form or another. I don’t mind hanging out with them, but at the same time I’m not a big believer in “left unity”. If it matters I’m not based in the US where the scene might be a lot different.
I use Jellyfin in conjunction with Kodi. Basically I only have Kodi as front-end, as it treats subtitles better than the Jellyfin client does. Works great.
At least there’s still the EU limiting the power of these companies, I guess…
No one ever questions these things. “It’s for the kids!” is the one argument that’ll lead us all to damnation.
Hasn’t RSS support been dropping these last few years? Last I heard was that RSS was dying, though I don’t know how true that is.
Does lemmy and other fediverse stuff currently have such a huge bot problem?
It seems really great actually. Thanks for the rec. Might selfhost it. But I also get the argument of Kagi if one doesn’t want to rely on the search results of Google/Bing/DDG or whatever. Even if I definitely prefer FOSS.
Thanks, I definitely prefer this alternative. How does searxng work in general?
Kagi has definitely been on my radar, but it sounds a bit weird (for lack of a better word) to pay for search. I’ve never even thought about it. Maybe it’s worth it…
Beautiful.
Category targets are available and are more flexible than YNAB, but it’s still in an experimental phase so it’s not fully integrated into the GUI. Check here: https://actualbudget.org/docs/experimental/goal-templates/ I’ve had zero problems so far though.
