  • It’s because everything that becomes popular starts with people in the 14-20 year range.

Myspace, Facebook, Digg, Reddit, Instagram, Vine, Snapchat, Tiktok…

The Fediverse will eventually grow once something triggers a snowball effect due the nature of connectivity and federation. Until then, the way to make it grow is to have young people make it popular.

Edit: There also needs to be more “fun” here. I think the Fediverse is a more “serious” place which isn’t what those other social media sites offered. “Serious 24/7” isn’t that enticing for young people.

The other day I was imagining a game or game service that has you make a Fediverse account of some kind. You get people to signup with a username that automatically creates a “@fedi.games” account. That account can have access to Mastodon, Lemmy, Pixelfed etc.

  • I used to talk about the fediverse and Lemmy on reddit when I had one.

I’d post links to different things for people to learn about it all. I’m think Reddit shadow bans links and maybe even mentions about Lemmy and fediverse. When a comment mentioned these things, eventually they would get zero “views”. They also banned the old fediverse sub a while back.

If I broke up the words or links the comments would get views. Just keep an eye on that I guess.

This one doesn’t have any added sugar besides the sugar naturally in the honey. You could also use maple syrup instead of honey. I believe it has one of the lowest glycemic index’s.

There’s also the version I meantioned with using date paste as a binder while increasing sweetness and fiber. Dark chocolate could also be used to improve sweetness, something like 60%+ cocoa.

  • What does grungy mean to you? Is it patina on full grain leather? Is it the thinnest leather stitched by a machine that as started to fray and tear? Is it paint starting to rub off?

Better quality wallets are saddle stitched by hand using full grain veg-tan leather or other leathers from reputable tanneries. The edges are usually burnished and not painted. They will patina nicely but will have to be cleaned and oiled at least once a year.
