You’ve got look at this from the leagues POV and ask the question. Can the league really battle it out with Man City in a court over this?
Even if City are guilty of every single charge. They have the money and resources to tie the league up in a legal battle that could completely run them into the ground.
The league won’t want that so they’ll either drop the charges or someone somewhere will accept a brown envelope to drop the case or they’ll negotiate some horse shit penalty than city won’t feel and the league won’t lose face on the matter.
My point is that the premier league won’t want to spend a penny over what they have to in order to get this case closed.
They certainly won’t want to go head to head with city over it because if there’s a single fault with just one of these charges then it questions the integrity of the rest of them and they’ll get tied in knots and made to look foolish.
And let’s be honest while we’re at it. “Financial fair play” wasn’t even a thing until the mid 00’s until the likes and Real, United, AC Milan lobbied fifa in an attempt to keep their monopoly of world football……
Imagine buying a business with the intent to invest in it and make it thrive for the community it sits in. Only to get told you can’t because it risks impacting your competitors bottom line who operate in the same sector. That’s not how capitalism works!
That’s how a crooked system works and it’s only now everyone is beginning to realise how crooked they are when they can’t even enforce the bent policies they put in place to protect the likes of Man United 😂😂😂
