Agreed 100%. I’d take calls being made consistently as a stepping stone to better officiating. But ideally they would call all penalties and force players to adjust/play within the rules rather than just be consistent with what they do or don’t call. But I’d still take consistency in games, and across different ref crews, over what we have currently without question.
The same goes in reverse for defenses too, obviously. Defensive holding and late PI calls are getting flagged randomly or at the will of the ref rather than every time… call it every time and watch how quickly players adjust and stop trying to get away with breaking the rules.
Congrats to whoever faces us in the playoffs on advancing to the AFC Divisional Round. This team is going nowhere with these WRs and an offense that gets more embarrassing week after week. Sad that we’re wasting a year with arguably the best defense in the league with these offensive performances every week. Reid & Nagy aren’t doing a good enough job with their gameplanning and playcalling, Mahomes is missing open receivers and ignoring them at times, and then the rare times that a WR both gets open and the QB does hit their hands they drop it. It’s super frustrating after being spoiled with insane offensive production the last five years.
Another week where we’re getting whatever we want in the run game, but Pat and Andy have to away from it late to play hero ball, and it leads to a stupid turnover. So ridiculous. This team is one-and-done in the postseason, at best.
