    I do want to bring up, that, from what I’ve heard, the victim in the Jacob Geller stuff didn’t want to come forward about it. I cannot imagine what it’s like to become a social media sensation this way. I know the truth is out now, but like I don’t think she wants to see randos chiming in with their based opinions on all the terrible things the legal system should have done to her abuser. It just really puts me off that this was released without her involvement.

    I’ve seen it so often that people ignore the victim and instead go about focusing all attention on enacting violence against the rapist. It’s basically like a cue for the “good men” to be allowed to pretend to be protectors of women via performative extreme violence against the “bad men.” Ofc it isn’t just men doing this, but still.

    I’m not like an anti-violence person btw I do believe we should have feminist violence, but I believe in the violence necessary to abolish patriarchy, not legalist and performative ultra-super punishment against the endless stream of rapists that patriarchy creates; it doesn’t help to whack the moles harder if you don’t address why they keep showing up and it definitely can’t un-rape people. If we just used half of the mental energy we spend fantasizing about creative ways to punish rapists on actually helping victims… imagine.

    I know of one thing that might qualify:

    You need a thin sheet of lead or pewter, but steel probably can work without being illegal / environmentally damaging. Preferably the metal sheet should be close to dark grey and not shiny.

    Using a knife you must deeply scratch the metal to engrave the names or a sufficient description of who you will curse on it in sentences like "I CURSE ALAN SMITHEE, JAN NOWAK, (…) FOR THE TRANSGRESSION OF (…) Make sure the lettering is small enough. If the different people did different things you have to write it too.

    Make sure to make your demands be in-between sycophantic and entitled. The chthonic powers like brazenness and high emotion, but at the same time to be addressed with respect and the praise reserved for a god. You are not addressing something that empathizes with you (that is a grave mistake). You are addressing something that has power and enjoys it and it likes to do little favors for humans as a way of enjoying that power.

    Then, you need to fold it once with a hammer, and then drive a nail through the tablet.

    And finally, drop the tablet in a place physically deep within the Earth, in a place without water to corrode it and where it will not be disturbed.     I bet that this has never once in history been successfully enforced. The Catholic church might have said it, but it doesn’t mean that even most people followed it.

    Our conception of the European Medieval period is distorted because the Church and the aristocracy were the people who kept the most written records, but there were many people, especially peasants, erased from history because they were pretty irreverent about the Church.

    Mine was from super-hell.

    traumatic (for me at least)

    This was my ex except the insane attachment issues plus jealous quickly became emotional abuse and gas-lighting and preying on my insecurities by saying stuff like:

    “You could only date pan women like me because you’re trans.” (Implied that lesbians aren’t attracted to AMABs and that trans people are too weird for bisexuals.)

    And mood swings would be like from “I love you” to “we’re breaking up” in a few hours, whenever she felt like making me panic.

    She also would sometimes chastise me for being like a terrible “boyfriend” and the dynamic that she invented was like the tired girlfriend who does everything and the enlightened manchild who won’t fix his problems. (I am a transgirl).

    She saw me as some weird thing in-between a masculine guy and a girl (only in a sexual context).

    Made me to dom her because it was the only type of sex she liked even though I was derealizing (close your eyes and think of England) during it and came onto me a few times while I was saying no and trying to move her off, she said it was because of hypersexuality. Also she was like clearly a fan of porn with transgirls in it and had a fetish for parts of me I had dysphoria about.

    There’s other stuff that happened later on as she got worse, less stable, and more sadistic. I can’t even talk about those.
