Listed below are my favorite video games of all time, ranked 1-10. I stuck to single player/story games only. I have a separate list for PvP games.

1 - The Last of Us: While there is controversy over the recent PC port, this title has been my stable No 1 for a long time. A fantastic story, interesting and unique characters, crazy jaw dropping moments, and an incredible ending.
2 - Red Dead Redemption 2: The best open world game I’ve ever experienced. Dynamic set of characters, beautiful scenery, endless exploration, a fantastic story, and one of the most brutal endings to a game I’ve played.
3 - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice: As a hardcore fan of Japanese culture and media, this game could have easily been number one. A story of redemption, hatred, and deception captured all within a gorgeous world with unbelievable mechanics and combat.
4 - Dishonored: There is a special place in my heart for this game. A vastly unique world, gorgeous art style, and fantastic combat system. The best balance of stealth and aggression in a game I’ve played.
5 - Elden Ring: A close second for my favorite FromSoft title. A fantastic clash of the classic souls-like format and an open world RPG. On of the most gorgeous games from the last decade.
6 - God of War (2018): Almost seen as a risky change to the GOW system, a beautiful story of anger and growth jumbled into a breathtaking world.
7 - Cyberpunk 2077: A terrible launch turned into a very enjoyable and satisfying experience. Probably the best looking game out right now - and another contender for my favorite video game endings.
8 - Borderlands 2: The Borderlands series as a whole is so refreshing, but the 2nd title outweighs the others. Handsome Jack is a top 3 villain/final boss IMO.
9 - Alan Wake: While the combat system is lacking, from a narrative and story telling perspective, this title is above all else.
10 - Detroit: Become Human: Similar to Alan Wake, the game itself is very story driven and was not made for heavy gameplay. A great experience and you can never go wrong with choices matter games.

HM: Firewatch, Dishonored 2, Tom Clancy’s The Division, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Assassin’s Creed III.

1 ) FFXIV - Story, class/job system you can change on the fly, roulette system that keeps people playing old content to help new players, so much side content (fishing/crafting, gold saucer, housing, glamor, etc). Leveling is not a chore/grind-fest.

2 ) Diablo 2 / D2R - just the best arpg, been playing it for 20 years - not much else to it

3 ) Hades - really loved the way they used the roguelike system to move the story forward. Figuring out what abilities work together to make OP builds, heat system for added difficulty

4 ) Halo 2 - took lessons from Halo and made even better. Some of the best multiplayer maps of any game

5 ) Zelda - A Link to the Past - I love all the Zelda games, but LTtP just hits everything perfectly. Big game, but doesn’t go on for too long - or have tedious gather quests/weapon breaking systems.

6 ) Mass Effect - I know lots of people prefer 2. 2 did have better combat, but the story in 1 was just so good. I also loved scanning planets.

7 ) CoD:WWII - my favorite online shooter of all time. Great maps and guns, I really liked the different classes (I prestiged all of them, but Airborn was my main). I could play Kill confirmed on hardcore (no HUD/ mini-map) or 24/7 Shipment forever

8 ) Super Metroid - best Metroidvania, hands down.

9 ) Baldurs Gate 3 - basically DND that I can play whenever I want without having to wrangle other players. Great story, fun to play through multiple times to see how situations can play out differently/ different ways to resolve issues/siding with factions, etc.

10 ) Super Mario 64 - all of the Mario games are fantastic, but 64 just hits perfect. Not too long, love all the different speedrun categories, easy to pickup but very hard to master. Wide variety of levels , each with unique features. Still blows my mind that one of the first 3D platformers went this hard and plays so well.

Nah, Grim Dawn beats it out of the water, with Diablo classes (ironically) no aRPG comes close to it
