Listed below are my favorite video games of all time, ranked 1-10. I stuck to single player/story games only. I have a separate list for PvP games.
1 - The Last of Us:
While there is controversy over the recent PC port, this title has been my stable No 1 for a long time. A fantastic story, interesting and unique characters, crazy jaw dropping moments, and an incredible ending.
2 - Red Dead Redemption 2:
The best open world game I’ve ever experienced. Dynamic set of characters, beautiful scenery, endless exploration, a fantastic story, and one of the most brutal endings to a game I’ve played.
3 - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice:
As a hardcore fan of Japanese culture and media, this game could have easily been number one. A story of redemption, hatred, and deception captured all within a gorgeous world with unbelievable mechanics and combat.
4 - Dishonored:
There is a special place in my heart for this game. A vastly unique world, gorgeous art style, and fantastic combat system. The best balance of stealth and aggression in a game I’ve played.
5 - Elden Ring:
A close second for my favorite FromSoft title. A fantastic clash of the classic souls-like format and an open world RPG. On of the most gorgeous games from the last decade.
6 - God of War (2018):
Almost seen as a risky change to the GOW system, a beautiful story of anger and growth jumbled into a breathtaking world.
7 - Cyberpunk 2077:
A terrible launch turned into a very enjoyable and satisfying experience. Probably the best looking game out right now - and another contender for my favorite video game endings.
8 - Borderlands 2:
The Borderlands series as a whole is so refreshing, but the 2nd title outweighs the others. Handsome Jack is a top 3 villain/final boss IMO.
9 - Alan Wake:
While the combat system is lacking, from a narrative and story telling perspective, this title is above all else.
10 - Detroit: Become Human:
Similar to Alan Wake, the game itself is very story driven and was not made for heavy gameplay. A great experience and you can never go wrong with choices matter games.
HM: Firewatch, Dishonored 2, Tom Clancy’s The Division, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Assassin’s Creed III.

I will combine where it’s more the entire series of games was good rather than picking out one that I liked

- Frostpunk
- Kerbal Space Program
- Kingdom Come Deliverance
- Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age Inquisition
- Metro (all games)
I kind of limited it to more recent history to avoid rose tinted glasses effect with the only exception kind of being Total War since I still remember the very first Total War game I played. Shogun Total War was very diferent and honestly a lot of it got changed up to the point where I am just too familiar with the more modern map view where your armies have movement isntead of just hopping between regions.
1.FFX GOAT
2.Elden Ring
3.Metroid Prime
4.A Link to the Past
5.Streets of Rage 2
-
Dark Souls
-
DQXI

Super Mario 64

Pokemon HGSS

1 ) FFXIV - Story, class/job system you can change on the fly, roulette system that keeps people playing old content to help new players, so much side content (fishing/crafting, gold saucer, housing, glamor, etc). Leveling is not a chore/grind-fest.
2 ) Diablo 2 / D2R - just the best arpg, been playing it for 20 years - not much else to it
3 ) Hades - really loved the way they used the roguelike system to move the story forward. Figuring out what abilities work together to make OP builds, heat system for added difficulty
4 ) Halo 2 - took lessons from Halo and made even better. Some of the best multiplayer maps of any game
5 ) Zelda - A Link to the Past - I love all the Zelda games, but LTtP just hits everything perfectly. Big game, but doesn’t go on for too long - or have tedious gather quests/weapon breaking systems.
6 ) Mass Effect - I know lots of people prefer 2. 2 did have better combat, but the story in 1 was just so good. I also loved scanning planets.
7 ) CoD:WWII - my favorite online shooter of all time. Great maps and guns, I really liked the different classes (I prestiged all of them, but Airborn was my main). I could play Kill confirmed on hardcore (no HUD/ mini-map) or 24/7 Shipment forever
8 ) Super Metroid - best Metroidvania, hands down.
9 ) Baldurs Gate 3 - basically DND that I can play whenever I want without having to wrangle other players. Great story, fun to play through multiple times to see how situations can play out differently/ different ways to resolve issues/siding with factions, etc.
10 ) Super Mario 64 - all of the Mario games are fantastic, but 64 just hits perfect. Not too long, love all the different speedrun categories, easy to pickup but very hard to master. Wide variety of levels , each with unique features. Still blows my mind that one of the first 3D platformers went this hard and plays so well.
2 ) Diablo 2 / D2R - just the best arpg, been playing it for 20 years - not much else to it
Nah, Grim Dawn beats it out of the water, with Diablo classes (ironically) no aRPG comes close to it
- The Witcher 3
- Dragon Age Origins
- Mass Effect Trilogy
- Control
- Batman Arkham City
- Uncharted 4
- Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare
- Halo Reach
- Persona 4
- Yakuza 0
It’s been 15 minutes since I’m trying to rank my top 10 games, but it’s impossible. I love them all for different reasons, they’re all n°1 in my memories. So I’ll go with an unordered top 10, deal with it. Of course there’s nothing objective in that list.
- Skyrim. The first game I have been truly, completely, utterly involved in. I enjoyed every hour playing, even more with mods. I still regularly come back to it.
- Planescape : Torment. Old game, but the writing and the worldbuilding got me. Everywhere you look, you’ll find a comment, a little interesting fact, a funnily lame pun.
- Witcher 3. Basically Skyrim 2 for the way I felt playing it. Especially the Blood and Wine extension.
- Minecraft modded. This game is just infinite possibilities of exploration and creativity for me.
- Baldur’s Gate 3. This game checks everything I’m looking for in a CRPG. I’m on my 3rd playthrough, it’s still as epic as the first one, i still enjoy it thoroughly.
- Yakuza Like a Dragon. My god this game. How can you have such a deep and serious main story and such silly sidequests at the same time. No game has had me passing from crying to laughing so rapidly.
- NieR Automata. Wierd, atmospheric, original, surprising, compelling, even if boring sometimes. This game simply sucked me in its atmosphere. It compares to no other experience I’ve had in gaming. Bonus point for the music.
- Warhammer 3 Total War. I love the setting, I love building armies and slowly rolling over the world. It’s a no-brain game for me.
- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. I’m probably very biased because I love ancient greek mythology. This game is gorgeous, the story was cool, and even if the sidequest felt repetitive in the end, I loved simply travelling through those landcapes.
- Warcraft 3. I have nothing more to add. No other strategy game has felt the same after this one.
Honorable Mentions : Too many to list be here’s a few : Dishonored, Death Stranding, Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2, Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2, Divinity : the Dragon Knight Saga, Dragon Age Origins, Persona 5, Starcraft 1 and 2, Age of Empire 3, Battle for Midle-Earth 1 and 2, Nier Replicant, Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2, Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2, Icewind Dale and many more.
You have great taste! Like a dragon and persona 5 very pog
I don’t know if I have an specific order, but
- Link to the Past

- Mario RPG
- Beyond Good and Evil
- Earthbound
- Mass Effect 1
- Mass Effect 2
- Super Mario World
- Final Fantasy VI

I considered some games like Ocarina of Time and Mario 64 but even back then some mechanics bothered me.
For real? We had this earlier today and yesterday
Huh?
This morning there was a post asking for our top ten games.
Yesterday there was a post asking for our top ten games.
What are your top ten top ten game posts?
-
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
-
Half-Life
-
System Shock 2
-
Half-Life 2
-
Super Mario 64
-
Metal Gear Solid PS1
-
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
-
Gears of War
-
Quake II
-
Portal
-
-
call of duty modern warfare 2 (original): Addictive, fun killstreaks, spec ops mode, just a fucking blast
-
hitman 3: freelancer mode is why it landed on the list. added a tarkov esq grind and its awesome when you have all the maps
-
rocket league: so many hours, insane replayability
-
clone hero: free guitar hero with any song you could ever want + online
-
Skyrim: better than most games today, and it came out on 360
-
gta 4: mind boggling open world for the time and i thought games would be a lot further along now because of how ground breaking this was
-
Yakuza: Like a dragon: so fucking fun, really quirky and just a great time, the story can also be intense
-
gta 5: The little details put it over. The people walking down the road on their phones, the way water correctly made your character wet, this game was so thoughtfully crafted, GTA role play is amazing, i hope 6 gives a similar feeling
-
persona 5 royal: Such a well woven story. Its unlike any other game and its fucking amazing. I could go on and on
-
Escape from Tarkov: the best FPS ever made and it doesnt look like anything new is coming out that will change that. Unmatched level of detail in gun animations and gameplay mechanics, addictive scarcity loot system with engaging quests, pog hideout to upgrade, amazing community (made about 10 friends from this game this year). The maps are ginormous, and the game makes you feel alive. Not to mention the insane amount of content updates they do all year
Honorable mentions: witcher 3, ssx 3 (ps2), crazy taxi, kingdom hearts 2, mirrors edge, burnout revenge/paradise, fallout 3
