How did Voldemort actually die?
I’ve been thinking about this, and the explanations we’re given don’t quite add up.
First, they say Harry is the master of the Elder Wand because he disarmed Malfoy. But here’s the thing — Malfoy wasn’t even holding the Elder Wand at the time. He was holding his own wand. So how does that work exactly? That connection feels like a bit of a stretch.
Then there’s the idea that the Killing Curse rebounded because the Elder Wand wouldn’t kill its true master. But if that’s the case, why wouldn’t the wand just refuse to cast the spell at all? Why would it rebound instead of simply malfunctioning? A rebound makes it look like Harry has some kind of protective magic strong enough to reflect Avada Kedavra, which raises even more questions.
I’d love to hear what you all think. Am I missing something, or is this one of those things we’re just supposed to accept and move on?

The answer is that Rowling is as good of a writer as she is a person

Just accept that JKRowling sucks as an author.
For real. I don’t get what people see in those books. Her writing is insufferable.
Kids read them and/or watched the movies and grew up. They then got nostalgic for the media of their childhood.

I was a full grown adult when these books came out. I had to hate read them because of nieces and nephews etc and I have always known that they sucked and that Rowling was a lazy, shitty writer. It used to be an unpopular opinion. It’s nice to see the world caught up.
Don’t think anyone changed their opinion about her writing, they went from overlooking what is bad because they liked the story or whatever to criticising what is bad because they dislike her opinion.

There’s a headcannon I’ve heard of that’s way better than the books. It says that voldemort was the master of the elder wand. The connection the wand has to personified death means that killing changing ownership makes more sense than disarming. But the real reason that voldemort lost is because he had so little soul left after creating 8 horcruxes and having them all destroyed. Him having at most a ninth of his soul meant he was doomed even with the elder wand.
The problem with this theory is that it actually presents a moral case that works the villain’s actions into a theme, so it’s clearly impossible for Joanne to put in her books.
I remember where I was a kid and I liked Harry Potter. I had all these fan theories to make it make sense. I was doing so many mental gymnastics to fix Jo’s story.
Now I just admit that the slave heads in Santa hats are fucked.
AFAIK Dumbledore was its master and Snape took his life so he was its new master. Then I don’t remember exactly but somehow Harry was the one to actually kill Snape. So he became it’s master malfoy took the wand to his master but it never obeyed either of them?
