No I’ve read history books about socialism, I know what I’m talking about when I say socialism failed. You should try reading some history books yourself instead of consuming all of your information from social media algorithms which only sow dissent and division.

No system is perfect, and there are problems in our system. But these are solvable problems. Previous generations were able to solve these problems, and there’s no reason to think that we can’t solve these problems too. It’s just a silly internet thing to push for throwing away something that needs maintenance in favour of something that’s been proven to be fundamentally flawed.

    Go fuck yourself.

You have yourself a nice day too.

“I’ve read books about socialism” ok, then you’d understand that places like the USSR, the biggest example of communisms failure, nevert actually even reached it. You’d also understand that countries like the Scandanavian ones, which practice a much greater degree of socialism while living under capitalism’s forced influence, are doing a whole lot better than we are. Norway’s sovereign fund and the private corporation hand-out account Carney made are not the same thing, champ. You’d know that Cuba, despite all its been through, has a highly advanced public medical sector and even provides foreign aid there. How does the fact that the CIA has a long history of distabalizing socialist nations not factor into your understanding? What, no maintenance opportunities for the collection of systems that actually seek to care for everyone universally but capitalism gets babied again as if there haven’t been thousands of chances to get it right? It was literally conceived as a way for rich, parasitic nobles to continue feudalism in a world that was rejecting monarchies and you’re over here practcially begging to have their boots shoved down your throat.

To act like capitalism hasn’t failed is completely, batshit insane at this point. The evidence is completely unavoidable unless you’re doing it on purpose because you’re still benefitting and because you don’t consider all the pain it causes to be important because it’s not happening to you enough to care.

You’re just a parasite who doesn’t give a shit about other people. That’s not a political stance, that’s a fucking defect. What a fucking loser.

Norway has a lot of wealth because they have oil. They sell the oil and invest it into stock markets globally. But you call a country that’s wealthy from oil and stock markets a “socialist” country LOL.

I’ve been to Cuba. Have you ever been there? I met a doctor that got paid ~35 USD per month. Per month. It costs ~25 USD to take a taxi to the airport. Taxi drivers make way more money than doctors in Cuba because taxi drivers have access to hard currency from non-communist countries. The government buildings are immaculate in Cuba, while the people live in poverty.

You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about and are resorting to childish insults now. Obviously you know that you’re wrong.

Your argument is that we don’t have any oil? Well that’s certainly very stupid. So either we have lots of oil and we that’s not a problem or we don’t have enough oil and investing into it is incredibly stupid. Which is it? Norway is also more socialist and those socialist policies are working well for those people. I know reading is hard, but try to keep up.

Yes, Cubans live in a bad state. Doesn’t have anything to do with the crushing embargos put in place by the most capitalist country, though, right? And even without a profit motive their medical field is still doing really well in terms of actual research and developement.

You’re responding to anything I’m saying, you’re just hoping that I’m as stupid as you are and that I’ll fall for your cheap deflections. Pathetic, truly.

Your argument is that socialism only works in oil rich countries?

Oil is on it’s way out. It’s not a long term plan to build a system that depends on massive resource wealth. Especially when using that resource destroys the planet.

Cuba doesn’t have oil. That apparently fits with your ideal world where countries with oil wealth are nice socialist utopias, and those that don’t… well they just can’t afford socialism I guess? Or maybe they get abused by a country dominated by the corporations the petro-socialist states invest their sovereign wealth into?

You do know which country Norway’s sovereign wealth fund is invested in, don’t you? Here’s a clue: https://www.nbim.no/en/investments/all-investments/

Wait, the Soviet Union had a lot of oil wealth, why did that collapse? It seems not even petro-socialism always works.

Petro-socialism, that is certainly a creative ideology I must say.

That’s not at all what I said. I was talking about Carney’s sovereign wealth fund as an example where he’s acting like it’s the same as Norway’s sovereign wealth fund but while they are using it actually enrich their citizens the one we have is just handing private O&G companies taxpayer money.

Look, you seem to really struggle with this whole reading thing so I’m gunna go. Do me a favour and never stop reminding yourself of how fucking stupid you are.
