I mean, if they’re talking about the movies or new Trek, I’d kinda’ have to agree on the sentiment, too. Most of the movies were Hollywood action schlock more than good scifi, at least when placed next to the shows. The shows were almost always low budget with good story/characters and bad to mid effects (good for the budget and what they pulled off, though), while the movies were big budget and somehow junk. … and the new stuff is almost all big budget and somehow junk, too.
