    Isn’t most of Canada already carved up by corporations. It seems like First Nations, a couple of NDP provinces, and some leftover crown corps are all that’s keeping us from being a full corporatocracy.

      Yup massive international PE firms now compete in the lower mid market in Canada and retiring owners keep selling to them instead of Canadian entrepreneurs.

    I will reserve judgment until I actually see the investments. I have concerns, but whether it’s good or bad is all ultimately going to come down to details we don’t yet have.

    Canada started life as nothing more than land stolen and given to corporations. The nation state part came well after that, and has no interest in addressing the monopoly problem that predates it’s founding 🤷
