    Every single industrial agriculture plot of land in the world uses pesticides, herbicides, etc… the thing is that US farmers can use more because they are heavily subsidized and have more cash to spend on their crops or whatever.

    There is also less wild vegetation in the US due the size of the plots, for example in Mexico there is rarely a plot of land bigger than 50ha, most plots are 4ha and multiples due to the ejido policy, and between the plots there is almost always canals or trees that serve as a natural way to divide the land, these tree lines and canals unintentionally protect wildlife. Its overall a much less efficient way of farming but i guess it protects wildlife.
