Yup, new laws for “enviromental reasons”. It is the most horrible idea ever. It doesnt stay open, its in the way, and it doesnt even prevent you from just ripping it off and throwing away the lid. Another law just so the higer-ups can pat themselves on the back and say they did something for the planet.

People are so bothered by these caps and I don’t get it. I wish people had gone as hard against chat control as they’re going against these fucking caps.

The least inconvenient thing imaginable and yet has caused so much outrage!

For real. I love not looking for the bottle cap on the ground. I just bend the cap a bit further and it doesn’t get in my way.

Just fold it back until it hits the point where it locks?

Jesus Christ, what a weak take this is.

Bend it back further. When it gets to 180 degrees, it latches into place and doesn’t spring back.

It makes perfect sense in my opinion and rarely presented itself as inconvenient.

And it’s also an issue for the disabled (motor abilities). It’s easy making a mess all over with these fucking caps.

Silliest take ever. As someone where these aren’t, they’re pretty awesome and wish we had them.

Plus the caps are from a different kinda plastic, so they have to be recycled separately.

The point is that the cap is now recyclable, which is why it’s attached.

Plastic recycling is crap though, even it can be recycled, there’s only a number of times that it can be done. There needs to be a move toward aluminum, glass, and compostable bottles.

That’s what I keep saying, if they really wanted to reduce waste they would just put everything in glass/aluminium and ideally just put things into your own glass jars. There’s very few places that do that sadly.
