There’s an investment office around the corner from me. Financial planners. Men with soft hands. Every one of them drives a large truck with a lift kit. Each one tries to out-do the others every truck they buy. These trucks never see a day of actual work.

I’m not disputing anyone here or the experiences of the children suffering from this war but we would recognize this study isn’t a study. It is a marketing gimmick for a charity with a shady history which does very little actual charity. They want your donations to finance themselves.

Russia isn’t going to help them keep ISIS like groups away. This will end up with regeime change in Chad or Chad asking France or the US to man one or more military outposts in Chad.

I think it is because this signals there will be no more weapon launches to/from Iran. Iranian oil infrastructure would be on the short list of additional targets. Plus there’s always the risk of Iran closing the Persian Gulf.

I would love to see the ruble continue to slide but I think a lot of the current weakness is Israel reducing tension in the Middle East, making lower oil prices more likely. Russia lives and dies on oil production at this point. We need to crash the price of oil and sustain it at a low point to kill the Russian currency.
