Now we’re talking. Has Raya been much better for Arsenal tho? I don’t think Kepa would have come but at least you’re giving options

Everyone was moaning about DDG last season as well
You know there are not many real class keepers right? Who do you think they should have brought instead?
Is this a surprise to you? Just look at the cost of players, a good forward on average will be more expensive than a good defender, showing teams value a attack over defence
Rice. Won conference league last year so has won something. Has been consistently exceptional over more years than Haaland in a more competitive league. Is incredibly reliable and has shown massive leadership quality and stepped up when his team needs it.
Market prices are definitely subjective so this is a dumb take
Strong disagree with 1, should be the opposite. Give the VAR ref more control, take the pressure off the on field ref. Now the refs have to overthink every decision cause they don’t want to be judged wrong. 4 is the only reasonable idea
For point 4 there will always be a line. You’re just moving the line to however far is now deemed too far offside
Agreed with this, and to answer some other comments, the problem with handball is the recent changes, not the penalty. The whole point of a punishment for breaking the rules is that it’s worse. If you only have penalties for sure goals then the game would massively change the other way to favour the defender, we would see almost no goals and the game would suck. Its already super hard to score and you want to make it harder by encouraging fouls.
With VAR we should be able to catch a lot more diving, so maybe make the diving punishment worse if you think it’s such a big problem?

That’s the bit that made me laugh, you can say that about any team, if they didn’t lose they’d be top
Hammers. Not that I anticipated he was going to light up the prem or anything but still. Major disappointment
Wow a sensible comment. Casemiro was class last season, this season he should have been playing less with an understudy coming up, so he can still bring experience and leadership to big games. Varane has been injured but you could argue they actually did get a replacement in Martinez but he’s out as well
I don’t think he’s worth what they want, so I agree very little chance of him moving in January. The question is where he will go next summer. I feel no top 6 will buy him, none of them need a striker bad enough to pay for a 28 yr old with 1 year left, but I guess it depends how he plays the second half of the season.
Newcastle could be an option tho?
The whole Asian cup/afcon thing is wild
Chealea, out of the 2. all they really need is a striker who can actually put it away and they have a solid team in a season or 2. Man U need a lot more than 1 player, plus I don’t think ETH is that great
This here, it makes it seem like they have more players than they do. Pep only like players who he can coach into multiple role
Obviously it’s not perfect, but it’s better than the old rules, and I believe it helps to keep prices down for “second tier” clubs
All depends on what kind of striker they sign. A Haaland true 9 type? Expect to see tons of assists but far less goals. A false 9? Then I expect he will still be scoring high for a midfielder but not a goal a game
