My interpretation is he’s not actually catholic just likes the church because sometime he can use it to justify his bigotry, when it’s convenient for him and nobody has the energy to challenge the hypocrisy

The thing is, we have to be reasonable with our expectations. You or I may remember that Microsoft has always been shady and anti consumer, most people don’t. They remember a time when you bought things and owned them, and it didn’t feel like we were being nickel and dimed quite so hard. We are not going to start an anti Microsoft (or whatever corporation) movement and actually be able to rile the masses to support that cause, but we might at least be able to get them to demand things go back to the quality they were at 30 years ago
It’s a cesspool in the desert, why would I go there even if I had money?
I was kind of expecting something like that. If I wanted to do the test, would I just set the wan side of my firewall to dynamic and see if it picks up an address?
Yeah I have at&t and currently using bridge mode, but I want to rip out their device completely if possible
Got it, thanks. I was thinking it can’t be as simple as plugging my firewall in and it just pulling an address
JamBandFan1996@lemmy.mlto Linux@lemmy.ml•Are distros really different or is it more about preference?5·2 个月前From a new users perspective, a lot of the main ones will probably feel very similar and the main difference you’d notice is stability and compatibility. Don’t overwhelm yourself with choices, just choose a easy to use, high user base, well supported distro to start on (Fedora, Ubuntu, Mint) and if you don’t like it move to something else later
That’s not really true, if the working population is productive enough, then socialism can work. Capitalism allows for growth based on profitability not usefulness to society. Now I love sports, but what if the billions of dollar’s that went to pro and college sports were instead just directed into social programs. You don’t need a larger younger generation, just better prioritization of resources
