Apparently they’re scrambling in the wild house, meeting with lauren bobert in the situation room etc.

I think it just has become far more likely that trump himself had Epstein killed…

The only thing that will take him down is a blob of cholesterol being dislodged during a particularly violent fart. He is surrounded by boot lickers who will excuse him literally anything, including raping children if necessary.

The issue is that anyone with a functioning prefrontal cortex has known he’s a pedophile since at least 2016, when it was released that he would regularly walk into the changing rooms at the child beauty pageants he would sponsor.

This whole controversy has really just been about desperately hoping the MAGA crowd would accept a single fact in their life if maybe it didn’t come from mainstream media. The issue that I see is that the right-wing propaganda machine has completely given up on getting the Epstein files released. They’re not gonna cover it, they’ll call it a fake news attack by the Democrats, and that’s the last thought the MAGA crowd will have on it. There was a very brief moment where they did care earlier this year, but Trump and specifically Mike Johnson have successfully delayed long enough.

the other issue is even if somehow it did break through and galvanized the MAGA base against Trump… so what? Trump has already made it abundantly clear he doesn’t give a fuck about his base, the law, rules and norms, or really anything beyond consolidating his power and acting like a king. Would that base actually go so far as to vote Democrat in the midterm elections a year from now? Would they vote Democrat in 2028, assuming we even have free and fair elections by then? would they even still remember? at the end of the day, I think they hate the mythical idea of “The Left” that they’ve been sold too much to ever actually fight alongside us, so hoping the J6 crowd would try to actually save democracy this time is absurd.

Some lessons I learned from Trump’s first term that so many people apparently did not:

      • He’s not gonna learn his lesson
      • Republicans are not going to swoop in and save us from what other Republicans are doing
      • His supporters are fine with what he’s doing, and if they aren’t they’ll be fine with it after conservative media tells them to be fine with it
      • He will not face consequences for what he’s doing

I would love to be proven wrong, but keeping these things in mind helps me to avoid unnecessary disappointment.

He won’t “fall” until his supporters stop supporting him.

To be clear, his supporters voted for him in 2024 even though he was already a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and insurrectionist.

They will not care if they find out he fucked children.

If you’re old enough to remember the panama papers and how less than a handful of wrong doers had to face their consequences, you can basically expcet a rerun. The entire ruling class is a criminal enterprise.

No. I think it will get far less coverage than it should, will get pushed out of the news cycle early, and Trump won’t be held accountable. The only way anything happens is that someone who’s pissed off makes another assassination attempt and lands the shot this time.

the slow drip of leaks is proving to be an effective strategy. Normally they flood the zone after a bombshell and the scandal gets buried. This time, whomever is conspiring against him is doing a much better job at keeping things tightly wrapped and leaking it slowly to keep the conversation relevant.

It’s a good tactic because whatever lies the Whitehouse comes up with to defend against the first few leaked things might be countered by the next few leaked things. They have no idea what is available to be leaked next so have to be careful what they say.

If it all came out at once they would know exactly what they have to work with when crafting their story.

As well, coming out a little bit at a time means people can focus and pay attention to the details, discuss it.

If 20,000 emails were all of a sudden leaked hardly anyone would care because no one would be talking about the same things at the same time and the details get lost

    • From what I’ve heard from folks outside the US, we’re way past the point of not being the shinning city on the hill. The only thing I see is that if and when the emails come out to public, the US will be so marginalized by the rest of the world that doing business with them will almost be the equivalent as doing business with North Korea (not counting trade embargos), that people will not really care as much anymore. And even if you where in the US you’d be more interested in just surviving the day than caring about the already known pedo in chief running the whitehouse will all his clouns and billionaires. The only thing that could give me joy is that if thefiles come out, the rest of the world powers could make trade embargos with the US and any billionaire that has financial or political ties with the US (specially including tech companies) so those billionaires would either jump ship and line up with the tax laws of the rest of the world or sink with the rest of the us economy.

      Heavy rant over

I’d say he’s the opposite of teflon - he’s so fundamentally dirty that it’s impossible to make him worse than he already is. If who he is doesn’t move the needle then nothing else will make the difference.

Theres been more than scratches. Seems like multiple times a day theres a new thing, just one of which would have been enough to sink someone’s entire career 20 years ago.

Im not sure if its due to constant access to unlimited news, a sign of the times we live in, or simply him being untouchable.
