I can’t decide who is more ridiculous out of this couple. Justin is a transphobic dating a trans woman. It is obvious he is repulsed by her. Nikki not only looks ridikkulous but is not right in the head for dating a transphobic guy and then thinks it somehow socially acceptable to meet his friends and immediately start complaining to them that Justin won’t eat her out. Kudos to the friend standing at the bar listening to all this without barfing into her drink.

You can be trans and still be a bad person…she’s trash! You can struggle in the past but still be classy…she chooses not to!!! Trans people want to be respected which they should, but they can’t use it as a constant crutch either. It’s annoying. She’s just trying to embarrass him and then expect him to defend her and if he doesn’t he’s back to being a transphob…which he totally is. But he wants her money so🤷♀️
Nikki is verbally and emotionally abusive to Justin (even not accepting his real name of Igor); I do not see him as transphobic, so much as being from an old-fashioned, very conservative culture and trying to make things work quite courageously, I think. Nikki fails to realize when others think she doesn’t look like a “real woman” it is not that she’s “clocked” it is that she wears so much makeup, tight, gaudy clothes and has so much facial filler, etc that of course she’s going to get stared sat - even here! It’s so sad that she does not see that Igor/Justin really seems to be in love with her, but she’s sabotaging it with all sorts of complaints, (while ridiculously claiming he does that); and going from 1 to 10 - she acts like a “Twink” - (I know what I’m talking about) - a spoiled femme-y gay man who can’t get enough sex, has daddy issues and is on waaaaay too many hormones causing severe mood swings and hissy fits. Nikki needs a reality check. When “Justin” joked that he wanted to hit the “eject” button, it was a cute and humorous way, I thought, of trying to get her to stop berating him, en route to meet his parents, no less. Instead of thinking about how the parents are important; how the topic of having children might (likely, I’m guessing) come up…and so many other things, all she’s thinking about is her voracious sexual needs. I understand what he means by how her constant erupting and whingeing about sex and threatening to leave (!) is NOT an aphrodisiac - FAR FROM IT and would take most people time and quite a bit of it to get over - and it would take her to stop nagging him. BTW, I’m feminist, queer, sex-poz. I can also spot emotional abuse and hormone abuse when I see both. Lighten up, Nikki. He loves you. You are ruining everything. You say you will compromise? Good - but you’re not doing it graciously. Nothing like a whiney resentment criticizing your lover’s moves or “lack of” to ensure killing the feeling - hopefully not permanently. On top of it, threatening to leave him constantly? Erupting in yelling constantly? Nikki, HELLOooooo - anyone home in that GRRR-L brain?

She lied about everything, slept with him when he was underage, which even with another adult is not allowing them to appropriately consent…… doesn’t even call him by his actual name, just decided his name should be Justin. And to top it all off has some really intense sexual expectations that she is not willing to compromise on, and seems to enjoy shaming him and manipulating him in public.
Not to mention the lack of understanding of their cultural differences, which drives me crazy with 95% of these “couples”

I am so glad that you mentioned this. Both Justin and Nikki are in their masculine energies, no wonder Justin isn’t able to have sex with her comfortably. He seems like he needs someone who is gentle, soft, caring, feminine, someone soft. She is the complete opposite. It also seems like she enjoys being this way, and doesn’t understand why he is turned off by it. Everything about her is so aggressive and so blunt Even down to her pointy nails and her bold choice of clothing, and how she just portrays herself in public. Obviously, we’re just is from a significantly more conservative, but even where I am from in America people would probably turn their heads when they see someone like her given how much surgery she had and how out there she is.

That’s what I’ve said before in other posts. His name was not his choice and it’s not ok to make fun of someone’s name. Like you said, it could be a family name that has great meaning to his ancestry. Changing his name because you don’t like his real one is just cringe.

Her being transgender isn’t immediately obvious. what is obvious is the plastic surgery that’s given her an alien appearance that’s not quite human anymore.

I think Igor is trying to work through his attraction issues and there’s just no way Nikki’s face helps, imo.
Nikki also looks really bad demanding sex and putting all that pressure on sex. Igor is trying to emotionally connect (which, yes, is prob just to distract from his discomfort with physical stuff) and she’s just pressuring him for sex. Not a good look.

I don’t know we should call Justin transphobic. He seems to 100% support her lifestyle and decisions to become a woman. I think it’s understandable that he can’t get 100% comfortable now that he knows she was once a man. Not everyone would just immediately adapt to that. Sexual attraction is complicated and nuanced. The main thing I fault him for is leading her on to think he was currently feeling the way he once did for her. I don’t think he has any prejudice or judgement for trans people. I think if he did he would never have reconnected with her and would not agree to tell his friends and family.

Yeah, it’s sad. I think he’s just deeply confused and trying to find the spark he felt for her before he knew the truth. They built an emotional and physical bond and then she disclosed her transness after the fact. Which is categorically dishonest and can leave someone feeling absolutely violated.
I think he is genuinely trying to put aside his gut reaction, which is that he only wants to be with a woman who was born with female parts. I truly think he is chasing the spark he had for this person that he truly cares for still, but the way his brain is reframing her in the present day doesn’t seem to be turning him on. If you compare older photos of Nikki vs what she looks like today, her look back then was more subdued and less obviously surgical altered. I think her current exaggerated features probably highlight the fact that she wasn’t in fact born with any of it.
