  • Who cares dude. When I got into watching the NBA for some reason I fell in love with the Orlando Magic. I had no idea what teams or players were good, I just somehow liked them. Turns out, they were utter trash and for most of their history they have been. I got stuck with them and I’ve watched them compete for the top pick in the draft year after year. Then finally at the end of last year, the Magic played good basketball. The season was already over, but it was fun watching them. Now, they’re 12-5 and 2nd in the conference, while also most likely making the in season tournament playoffs. I am really, really enjoying watching them this season, because I’ve suffered a lot, but also because I saw this team grow and get better and I was there for all of it.

I am also a fan of Manchester City (yeah, screw you too mate). Yaya Toure is my favorite player of all time and I really liked the fact that him and his brother both played for the same team. As I’m sure you know, right around that time City started to become one of the most dominant clubs in professional football. I watched every game and cheered them on, but I found myself watching less and less the less Yaya played (Kolo hadn’t been a part of the squad for a long time at that point). They kept winning, but it just didn’t feel the same. It felt and it still feels like I didn’t really deserve all that success.

TLDR: nothing better than supporting a losing team that then starts winning. If you’re just there for the good times, you’re not a fan.

  • What, you don’t like a run up the middle for no gain or a screen pass for 2 yards to make it 3rd & 8?

I like what Bo is doing. I think he’s doing great. What I don’t like is how the coaching staff doesn’t trust AOC in the slightest. They need to let him throw every now and then. The season is lost anyway, let us see what AOC can do instead of doing everything possible not to give him the ball.

  • He’s a 4 time All Pro. He doesn’t have to worry about pride. He was legitimately one of the best ball hawking CBs of all time. If he wants to still play ball that’s his right. Again, when he signed here he wasn’t supposed to be CB1. He was supposed to be a mentor and a depth piece. Ain’t his fault our FO was full of clowns.

  • Marcus Peters is the definition of a Raider too. Scrappy guy from Oakland that always played ball hawk. Took what he wanted. The fact he’s washed at this point doesn’t mean he ain’t all that. It ain’t his fault that our regime didn’t think we’d have to add some actual secondary help.

Everyone knew MP was washed by the end of last season. He knew himself, it’s why he signed a $3M contract with us. If that’s your CB1 that’s the GMs fault, not the players. He’s a 30 year old CB that was always highly reliant on his athleticism.

  • Bruh. You can’t seriously compare AOC to Peyton Manning. Chances are that AOC ain’t it. He’s our starter the rest of the year, which is good. He might show us he deserves another year, but I doubt it. To me it looks like he’s going to be a premium backup or a bridge QB when he’s got some experience under his belt. He’s already 25; older than or as old as Lawrence, CJ Stroud, Herbert, Tua, Jalen Hurts.

AOC understands football. That’s very important for a QB. He doesnt however have the physical attributes that nearly all of todays top QBs have. He’s not extremely precise, he doesn’t move outside of the pocket, he doesn’t go through progressions well. Some of that might get better with coaching, but again, the guy is 25. This isn’t like a 20 year old coming out of college. Our brains stop developing in the mid 20s.

Anyone hating the guy is an idiot; he’s a 4th round rookie thrust into a starting role under a first time HC with a first time playcaller. That doesn’t mean that you can’t watch him play and come to the conclusion that he ain’t it though.

  • You guys do understand that PFF has some sort of formula for grading players, right?

Bosa barely has any sacks (like Maxx in years past) but he’s still graded at 92.0. Maxx is graded as a 91.7, therefore Bosa > Maxx when it comes to the PFF All Pro team.

Luckily PFF isn’t responsible for giving out All Pro or DPOY honors. Plus if Maxx keeps this up and the defense plays well ROS Maxx should basically be a lock to get DPOY, unless Danielle Hunter also keeps his pace up, then it’s going to be head to head.
