  • We are in a great spot still with the roster to compete. I’m not opposed to keeping AP as a HC, he’s got the guys playing hard for him, when they could’ve rolled over and phoned it in the rest of the year. He’s made a case to keeping him, but if we do, we will 100% need a new OC. Hardagree doesn’t adapt well in game, and we are running waaaaay too much on 1st down still, and when we get a lead he has gone far too conservative too early. The scripted parts of his offence were great last night, as the first 3 drives were amazing from a play call perspective. The opening screen on drive 3 or 4 was a great call and exactly the change of pace play we needed, but then the great play calls just disappear. AoC has the arm talent to start in the league, and had impressed me with his ability to scan the field. His mobility and pocket awareness is questionable, and may be what holds him back from taking the starting job. He has 5 games left plus a bye to win the job, so good luck to him.

Both offensive and defensive lines need an upgrade to the interior lineman, and we need to acquire more depth at the linebacker position and safety. I like our roster of corners now with peters gone, Hobbs, amik, Hall, and Jones are all talented players, and hopefully Bennet finds his stride next season.

Lots to be hopeful with going into next year, but sadly bc of McDumbass and co. This season is lost barring the most improbable run I’ve ever seen. Last season there were 8 or so head scratching losses to look back on, this season the most glaring ones were the lions and bears games, both should’ve been easy wins with a better HC and QB at the helm

  • I’d disagree with the point about the secondary. They went up against some of the best weapons in the league and held their own the whole game. Obviously Peters will need to be replaced at the end of the season, but I’ve been surprised at the level that Robertson and Hall have played at, and Bennet has looked good in spots too. I’m also pretty high on the talent that panda Jack has so there are players there to replace him on the field, but it seems like no one in the secondary can take the coverage adjustment calls, which keeps peters on the field.

Offensive play calling was really rough today. Didn’t establish a run game, and then failed to get Jacobs touches in the passing game.

Right side of the O-line is a real weak spot. I think Elumenor would be a good guard, but I’m not sure he has the athleticism/ foot work to keep up with some of the good edge rushers in this league. Maybe the stats disagree with this, but the eye test has never been very kind to Van Rotten. Dude loses often on the inside in both run and passing downs. Hopefully we sure up one of those spots in FA while drafting a rookie to sure up the depth. We were one unfortunate injury away from seeing fucking Brandon Parker

  • Yea the only thing that really surprised me was how quickly he moved on from carr/ Waller and renfrow despite making similar mistakes when with the donkeys. I don’t necessarily think trading Waller was a bad thing, we got a third for a type of player that tends to decline pretty rapidly once their third contract begins. BUT that doesn’t change the fact that he basically tried to remove any player leadership that questioned him like he did for the donkeys.

I don’t think his play design was bad, it was actually kind of impressive at points, however he clearly lacked the tactical ability or awareness to maximize his plays effectively and efficiently
