this is a very LARP-y answer i know LOL but i’ve been listening to a lot of MPR-era music, actually. most of it is very good but my favorites are Мөнхийн Ленин (Forever With Lenin) and Эгэл Цэрэг (Ordinary Soldier)

other than that? i’ve been checking out a lot of stevie wonder lately. i also listened to prince’s debut album yesterday, it’s pretty good.

The flaming lips - the soft bulletin. Genuinely one of the silliest and most fun albums ever made.

Megadeth while in the shower. Dave Mustaine makes some killer riffs that straddle divide between rhythm and lead. I have “Wake Up Dead” playing on loop in my head right now.

The album “Receptor” by Dissona is sooo good, if you’re into progressive metal.

A lot of The Coup, the first few songs on the new Gorillaz album, and Hermanos Gutierrez.
