Attempting to read Fidel’s Autobiografia en dos voces, in spanish (already read it in english). Its a slog but its increasing my vocab a lot.
Learning Spanish really opens up one’s access to so many anti-imperialist literature in its source language!
After months from @Cowbee@lemmygrad.ml and @CriticalResist8@lemmygrad.ml’s recommendation (thanks guys!), I finally finished Georges Politzer’s book “The Elementary Principles of Philosophy”.
Some things were naturally simplified, since it’s a book that was made for French communist workers. But I must say, dialectics did become much more comprehensible to me now, although I am not yet sure I fully understand it. Nonetheless, I really liked this book, especially the way the author talked about metaphysics and dialectics, the historical development of materialism and dialectics, and the ideological factor in societal change.
Glad you liked it! One thing I recommend is following it up with On Contradiction, which is fairly short and can help rectify a few mistakes Politzer makes.
Will do, comrade 🫡 Looks like I already know which book I will read next, then!
And thanks again for these advices, they are really valuable!
No problem, and good luck!
